Carolina Panthers Training Camp - Wednesday Thread
kungfoodude replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Perryman seems to have a far higher ceiling than Carter, so I would assume he would easily win that job. But.....gotta seen the field for it to be much of a competition. It will be a pretty big disappointment and a bad signing if we can't get Perryman on the field with some regularity. He's a good player when he is on the field. -

I believe you mean @Zod's IRL alt account, @Jeremy Igo -
Yeah, I don't want a Jerry Jones/Dan Snyder scenario to unfold just because we didn't hire the right head coach. That isn't the lesson I want the owner to take away from the next couple of seasons if we are still struggling.

Will we see anything out of Kenny Robinson in 2021?
kungfoodude replied to Tommy Jone's topic in Carolina Panthers
Curious how he is looking, as well. This was a guy I honestly thought was going to be a two deep player if not challenge for a starting spot. -
I don't presume to know anything about him other than what he does on here. The fact that he is getting under your skin pretty much makes him successful at what he is doing. It's really just best to either ignore him or not take anything he says seriously. Once you know he is trolling, it's extremely simple to deal with.

Yep. And we have had a couple of seasons in the past decade torpedoed by the injury bug, as well. I've never actually gone into a season being on pins and needles about injuries, but this is going to be the one. It's crazy the amount of injury prone guys we have in our two deep. We just gotta hope we can buck that trend for at least one season. -

Jackson is already very slight as a CB and isn't exactly a sure and willing tackler. Not sure that is what the doctor ordered at FS. DJack is fine at CB. He just needs to work on being more consistent. He's absolutely the best playmaker we have in the secondary. By a wide margin. -

Yeah, it was scary the amount of guys that we accumulated with injury problems/history. I know that was discussed at length in here. -

Projecting us as a top 10 defense in 2021 is a bit of a stretch. Still have some holes to fill next offseason to make that happen. And just general experience/game reps needed. -

I have never seen these before. I assume some new tech??? -
I am not sure there is a more clear example of a troll than Chuck. He may be somewhat unsophisticated in his tactics to avoid detection but he appears to be pretty clearly trolling. Now, are his actual opinions and believes somewhat mixed into the bunch? Undoubtedly, but he is VERY clearly trolling.

Carolina Panthers are STILL interested in Deshaun Watson
kungfoodude replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would expect we would keep an eye on the situation. Supposedly we sniffed around before all this came out so I would think we are still at least passively monitoring it at some level. I am not sure how active we would be in our pursuit until he sorts out his issues and it becomes clear how bad they will end up. There is obviously the chance he just doesn't get to play in the NFL again. -
In his case, most likely. I mean, there is likely not a real way to determine what he actually believes. He is just here to create mayhem and entertain himself, like any troll is really. I wouldn't be shocked by just about anything he said.

I think if you take most of what Chuck says seriously, you are missing the troll aspect to his presence.

Is Terrace Marshall the rookie most likely to succeed?
kungfoodude replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would be genuinely shocked if this draft is better than 2020. I'm down for it, though. We really need to crush as many drafts as possible to aid in the rebuild. -
You assume it is even possible to hurt Chuck's feelings.
-
Can't do it in that uniform, sadly. I hope he ends up somewhere that I can finally wish him the best again. Not sure I'd copy the recent Pats draft model.
-
I mean.....you know he is 22 years old, right? So you never got wasted in your early 20's? The DUI shows a general lack of responsibility and very poor decision making. But, being drunk at a club? Man...he's 22. Most of the NFL players at that age are partying and doing young people stuff. Were all the Gronkowski partying/drinking videos indicative of him having a drinking problem?

One of them is not actually a Panthers fan but a Lions fan. Has said so multiple times here. That's why I like to rile them up from time to time(just bored while completing another task). Typical "my way or the highway" opinion posters. Literally come unglued if you don't share their exact point of view. Those guys always entertain me. Why are you even on a message board if you don't want to debate? If you just wanted a circle jerk of your own opinion being validated and spouted back at you....maybe go to social media. That's the platform for that.

If you want to see a real Kettle/Pot scenario, maybe read your last post. Speaking of lack of self awareness. We get all kinds of opposing team fans in here, surprising you stayed around given how sensitive you are.

I think drinking problem is a stretch. He is just being young and dumb, just like a lot of young people are dumb. I don't begrudge him young, dumb mistakes. The question I always have about any of those guys is how quickly they are going to mature.
