  1. Or Slater. My God...that guy has the look of a surefire thing even now.
  2. I think he was helped by playing poor or depleted opponents, having CMC and the opponents not having much tape on the Brady/Darnold combo yet. Now the offense is predictable and there is no CMC to demand LB or S coverage and create mismatches all game.
  3. I think he just has problems processing in general. IMO, it's because he is such a career inexperienced guy. Reading these defenses isn't second nature to him like a lot of the QB's that you see in the NFL with years upon years of QB experience. Sam literally didn't have that so I don't think he really developed as a QB. Perhaps had he stayed all four years at USC, it would have put him on a better track but then again, maybe he just doesn't have "it." He wouldn't be the first bust QB to just not be able to see the field.
  4. Teddy was close but he was critically flawed in his ability to take an occasional chance. Give me a Derek Carr, Jimmy G or even Jared Goff. Nothing great, just a decent starting quality NFL QB. If we are still looking at the same BS, then it's definitely mostly Brady's fault.
  5. Yeah, if we merely had a competent veteran, I'd be more inclined to start piling on Brady exclusively. I agree he is PART of the problem, I just am unsure how much of it because Darnold is so terrible.
  6. That's the problem, you are in your head creating scenarios that aren't there. Cam is DEFINITELY a better QB than anything on our roster now. Even the Broke Armed Cam is better than those guys.
  7. We think they want to build for the long term but they make so many moves that seem very "short term" oriented. I am not sure they really understand the "long haul" strategy.
  8. We need to fix the QB and the OL. Without those, Super Bowl caliber is off the table. We also need to retain our core players and get them more experience. Let's say we can accomplish all of those goals. I would think that is a minimum of 2 seasons away and that is if everything goes perfectly for us. Realistically, if things STILL go well, 3-5 seasons.
  9. Yet somehow he has been able to complete 65.9% of his passes with competent OC's. How strange.......... We get it, you don't like him. Get over it.
  10. We get some key defensive players back this week, so it will be a little closer, IMO. Falcons 24, Panthers 10 7 of 10 Panthers points come from a short field forced by the defense.
  11. I mean PBWR, DVOA, Adjusted Sack Rate, etc, etc. We aren't last in any of them. Trust me, I have checked. Like I said, I want to see these other teams just to know how much worse it can be.
  12. The difference between your statement and mine is that mine included actual facts, yours were loaded with "feels." I get it, you hate Cam with a passion because maybe he touched you inappropriately or something.
  13. Have you watched Teddy in Denver much? Spoiler alert....looks a lot like he did here.
  14. You know.....we aren't last in any pass blocking measurement available. Sort of boggles the mind when you watch the team play. Maybe I will watch the teams below us this week just to see how bad it can get.
  15. They are better in run blocking than pass blocking. The stats and metrics back that up.
  16. I think I like Pickett as the best of the bunch. Obviously, lower ceiling than most of the prospects but a lot higher floor. Corral.....I just can't get into him. Ridder I kind of like. Not 1st round like but I wouldn't be upset if we got him in the 2nd or 3rd(yes, I know those are phantom picks for us).
  17. I mean, I didn't have to do anything but watch you melt down over absolutely nothing.
  18. In the last 31 starts(across his last two years with the Panthers and his season with New England) he was a 65.9% passer. Cam got the rap as an inaccurate passer because we had OC's that set up QB's to complete less passes. He doesn't have a job because we broke him and he would get the vaccine. Make not mistake, even broken Cam is far better than what we currently have.
  19. I would be interested to see something different only to see if the issue is Brady. We may very well find out the issue is only Darnold or we may find out Rhule is far worse. At this point....I just want to see something different.
  20. Rhule was the OC at Temple while he was HC, so he actually has more experience than Brady does. As to if he is an upgrade....eh....I get the feeling like we will soon find out.
  21. Eh, I am not gonna say that he cannot improve or get better. Everyone wanted Sean McVay but his meteoric rise is the exception and not the rule. Brady has a total of 2 years of NFL coaching experience prior to getting this OC gig. This job was probably just a bridge too far at this stage in his career. It's entirely possible that in 5-10 years Joe Brady is a great OC and a great HC candidate.
  22. Yeah, the defense is still fun to watch. Maybe if Rhule takes over playcalling we can run the fug out of the ball and just simply not let Darnold fug it up for them. All we really need to do is play the field position game and give our defense some rest.
  23. It's not really the fans that Rhule needs to be worried about. Half the fans want to fire a coach after every loss. It's David Tepper that Rhule needs to worry about. He doesn't seem particularly happy.
