I have seen these things(media of all sorts) destroy people's lives and well being on a consistent and unfortunately accelerating basis. The more people that realize these platforms don't have to control your life, the better off society will be. Life is meant to be lived out in the real world and not through a little glowing screen.

Rhule: Moton is the top RT and second LT behind Erving.

I wouldn't put too much stock into those interviews. Rhule is interesting in the way he "uses" those platforms. He's saying a lot without saying a lot. -

We need this from coaches to players more than most NFL teams do. From top to bottom in the organization, we are green as hell and this type of stuff helps accelerate everyone's learning curve. It also gives the coaches a great look at our deficiencies and what needs to be improved on. I don't think this will necessarily pay off in a noticeable way this season but I think it will pay off in the coming seasons. -
Social media was great at it's inception but it is literally rewiring people's brains and making them unhappy. Of the limited amounts that I use, it's for specific hobbies and interests and absolutely zero percent for what they want you to use it for. Anytime any media(internet or TV alike) is impacting your mental health, time to turn it the fug off.

Yeah, that college to NFL path is a low probability route. I do think these guys seem to want to get better at this enough that they will keep striving to improve. I don't think you could say that about guys like Spurrier, Kelly, Saban, Petrino, etc. You have to be willing to put in the work and these guys appear to be willing to do that. -

Yeah, he is one of the most toxic posters here. Hence why he is on my ignore list. His description of it is "permeating his social life" is a clear sign that you need to step away. If an internet message board(or social media site or whatever internet hole you choose) is impacting your personal life....it's time for some self reflection and probably this....

Listen, you definitely aren't wrong about them needing to adjust to the NFL. I think outside of the most delusional of our fanbase, we mostly all accept that to a certain degree. However, in their defense, we did get pitched that this was a long rebuild. The owner warned the fans about that. I do think "over their heads" is a bit strong. I think they are still navigating their learning curve. Let me put it this way, was last season not a genuine surprise with how well we performed? I was fully ready to see a 0-4 win team that was getting blasted off the field almost every week. That didn't happen. Despite having probably the least talented overall roster in the NFL, we were competitive in almost every game. In my mind, that puts us a bit ahead of schedule. So, while we are critical of them(I know I definitely am) we also need to accept that they are still kind of figuring everything out too. I am sure after hearing Grier's comments this week and seeing the structure of our training camp, Teddy's comments about the staff not really practicing situational stuff last season was probably true(also note that we didn't have normal circumstances last offseason). But, guess what we practiced a lot this offseason, situational football. At the bare minimum, that has to show some level of learning and change. Do I ultimately think this is the staff to stabilize this franchise? I don't know. I think the "culture" aspect is underrated by fans and I think they seem to be doing a good job of building that for us. So, as much as I will bitch about the staff, I am actually hopeful that these are the guys. It's just after 3 straight losing seasons(likely to stretch to 4 this year) and only 7 total winning seasons....I am going to be a bit grumpy about having to suffer through more bad to mediocre results. -

Well the Panthers "media" made it seem like they wanted him as an OG. So, I don't know what to think about the situation. -

Both. Keep in mind the buck does ultimately stop with Rhule, although the efforts are collaborative. He has jettisoned a lot of guys that he brought in that didn't work out. I was surprised about Teddy but moreso because I thought the contract would be an issue to dump. I think he will pull the pin on Darnold just as quickly. Like I said, he may make a lot of mistakes early in his career but he is possibly the most decisive coach we have ever had when it comes to changing direction on a player decision. -

Still a lot quicker to change that our previous coaches. I think Rhule struggles with some of the initial decisions but he seems pretty decisive when things aren't going well. He definitely doesn't seem sentimental. -
I am not sure really what to think. They piled up injury prone player after injury prone player this offseason but that wasn't the case in 2020. I guess we need to wait until 2022 offseason to figure out if this is a trend.

Well he basically has next to no NFL experience. I think these interactions help this staff learn, as well. Remember that Rivera had to dig into some of his coaching mentors and he had tons of NFL experience. -

Yeah, he was pretty quick to jettison one of "his" guys in Whitehead. Rhule seems to make a lot of mistakes with personnel early in his career but he is pretty quick to rectify them. That really does make some of the poor choices easy to stomach. Rivera would have kept Whitehead around for 3-4 seasons before finally giving up. -
Very interested in Hernandez. I liked him coming out of UTEP.

This discussion needs to be about where the Scott Fitterer statue is going to be erected. We got something FOR him???? -
Thompson is worlds better than Thomas.
-
I think Thompson is a safe bet to make the roster. He actually played well for us in spurts last season.
-
Yeah, that is the writing on the wall.
-
I would just plain cut him at the 53. He isn't worth keeping around if he can't get healthy. It's been his reputation already.

I mean, I told them I thought it was metal in my eye. Then they did the flourescent dye and saw it was just a scratch. That was when they asked if it was a sexual partner. Until you told your story, I just assumed that guy was fuging weird. How many people come in with sexual eye injuries?
-
I think Bynes was that guy.
-
I honestly figured this was just inevitable. Maybe he doesn't get cut this round but I can't understand the logic to keeping a guy that hasn't played or practiced basically this entire camp. Plus....I mean the vaccine thing makes it easier from a team standpoint.

Similar. I have a lot of Tinderbox dopes on there from when they kept bringing their trash to the main board a while back. I keep stocking it with non-Panthers fans or fake fans like iamhubby and glenwo. How do you come to a board and pretend to be a fan of another team? So strange.
