The most fire I have seen in a Panthers QB recently was probably Kyle Allen. But, I am also comparing them to Cam Newton who wore his emotions on his sleeve. But, in fairness, not every great QB was a fiery leader.

I wish we had a 3rd round pick for Fletcher Cox. Sign me up for that. His contract is insanely cheap for 2022 and 2023.

He is remarkably similar across the board. Makes me wonder how that compares to other bust QB's in similar situations. David Carr, Mitch Trubisky, etc.

You are literally describing Intended Air Yards/Attempt. They are surprisingly close in that regard(closer than I thought).

Cam never took losses well which I never had an issue with because I want players to win, although he didn't take the losses maturely all the time. I'd still rather have a QB that actually cared about winning and had some fire. We haven't had that since he left.

174 to 151. Darnold's runs have been less impressive than you are remembering but most people also forget that Teddy actually did have some wheels on him. He actually rushed for 279 yards in 2020.

Well, the Pressure % was still 28.0% through 4 games. Ground production for Darnold is about 5.2 YPC, Teddy was 5.0 YPC. Darnold carried the ball 34 times to Teddy's 30 times. The biggest thing is that Darnold has a nose for the end zone when we are in the red zone and Teddy just did not have that at all. Heck, he didn't have it through the air either.

He accounts for 12.3% of our YAC.

2020: 7 total TO's from the QB's. 2021: 10 total TO's from the QB's. I do want to point out that this isn't completely a Teddy vs. Sam list of stats. This does include PJ in both 2020 and 2021 at the 8 game mark of the season.

19.8% Bad Throw percentage is atrocious too. So is the 27.9% pressure percentage. Yuck.

Oddly, much more productive in YAC this season. That was surprising to see.

He hasn't changed at all. Look at film from the other three teams he has been on in his short career.

I legit forgot to mention that we have held our opponents under 200 Passing Yds/GM 6 other times. This year we are averaging 188.9 yds/GM passing. The other times are as follows: 2009 - 191.0 2006 - 187.5 2005 - 191.1 2003 - 187.7 2002 - 187.1 1997 - 187.9 Really this information shouldn't be a surprise as almost all of our head coaches in franchise history have been defensive minded head coaches.
