  1. Hahahahahaha! The Jags are such a joke. Khan has no clue what he is doing and no football background at all. They keep a GM who stinks and then hire a college coach who so clearly was in over his head he made the team a sideshow. Hahahahaha! What a dumpster fire of a franchise! Wait......
  2. I think the offseason will determine what our ceiling is. If we draft well and make smart signings, we will probably start hot yet again, only to watch as the NFL adjusts immediately to any new wrinkle and beat us to death with our obvious roster flaws. Or you could see more bad signings/trades(Darnold, Erving, Elflein, etc) and poor drafting. If we see an exodus of talent in free agency(DJack, Gilmore, Jones, Reddick, etc) to go with that or the obvious signs of good free agents avoiding us, the bottom may be another 1-3 win campaign.
  3. I get the thought process of not wanting to go through all this again but just imagine the level of change in Rhule himself and then turnover in his staff that is probably necessary to alleviate most of the obvious flaws. I don't see how anyone can look at this from the outside and see a path forward. Perhaps that is the biggest issue with Tepper. He is an active and hands on owner who is too close to the situation to see the obvious. Not trying to make excuses for him but I can see how you can believe in someone so much that you become blind to their problems. Just human nature.
  4. Our defense this year is overhyped to an extent. I think they have trouble with the 2010 OL(Gross, Wharton, Kalil, Schwartz, Williams) and Williams/Stewart. We definitely would struggle to pass on them but do we have the horses to adequately slow down the rushing attack the 2010 team could muster? How about TO's? 2010 team was -8 in TO's but also forced 29 on the year. 2021 is at -9 with a paltry 16 TO's forced. I think it comes down to coaching and I am gonna take John Fox to be able to dial up a plan to exploit the 2021 teams biggest weaknesses. It's an interesting thing to think about.
  5. The issue I would have with just stripping him(Yung Rhule) of FO power is that it also doesn't fix his problem with having a staff stocked full of his college buddies who aren't suited to coaching at the NFL level. Furthermore, the guy that probably wasn't completely his choice(Brady) got summarily jettisoned when the offense wasn't working. I just don't see a path to fixing all the Rhule issues. This isn't a Pete Carroll or Bill Belichick story of a team quitting too quickly. This is a Greg Schiano/Bobby Petrino story of a college coach being completely out of his element and not understanding what it takes to be successful at the NFL level.
  6. Reddit to the rescue. The dudes uncle is probably a BoA janitor. The fact that 4Corners believes this should be all the proof you need it's probably BS.
  7. That was the worst point differential per game in franchise history. This team is tracking top five. I will point out that the 2019 team was far worse in that category. I will also point out Rhule has the worst point differential for any Panthers coach in their first two years as coach and and the second worst two year span in franchise history.
  8. If Rhule returns, I don't know that we are gonna like the kind of veterans interested in us.
  9. Well Rhule makes it clear to them there is a "ME" in Team as he routinely throws players under the bus but rarely publicly accepts much responsibility himself. I will be curious to see which veteran players opt to leave after this season.
  10. I view DT as a little bit down the list of priorities, depending on who we bring back. So, it is really about allocation of resources. I would spend more on the OL than the DL at this point. DL play is a weakness but not nearly as crippling as OL play.
  11. Anyone who is bought in on this culture of blaming others for their problems, they can leave with Rhule. I am afraid he will end up poisoning these young players with his "culture."
  12. I don't think anyone will be fooled by a fast start by a Matt Rhule team again.
  13. Merry 4th of July to you, as well.
  14. The fans were showing their contempt for what has gone on with the QB situation. It's unfortunate that Darnold caught the brunt of it but in reality those boos were the fans letting this shitty staff know how ridiculous it has become. Keep in mind, it's ultimately Matt Rhule that even put Sam in that situation to get booed. He traded for the dude, he coddled the dude, he set him up to fail. You want to blame someone for the boos(which were deserved), blame Matt fuging Rhule.
  15. I've seen them from Frank Reich to whatever counts for a "starting QB" with this team. Darnold is definitely bottom 5 all time. Not sure anyone will ever be as bad as Jeff Lewis but given enough time, Darnold might give it a go.
  16. I hope you aren't driving tonight.
  17. Yes. Yes that is bad. Here's one, I was talking poo with some of my buddies who are WTF fans and they were lamenting how bad Ron Rivera is(which I told them he wasn't going to work out and they didn't listen). So, I just proposed a straight up trade, Rivera for Matt Rhule. And I mean that. Give me every 2nd or 3rd year being a good team rather than this garbage. So, that's what this fuging ownership has reduced us to. Going back to the "glory" days of getting to claim to have a winning season every 2nd or 3rd year versus three straight years of 5 wins(tied for the lowest three year span win total in franchise history, winner of the lowest winning percentage total in a three year span in franchise history). Thanks Dave. You are really crushing this ownership thing.
