  1. We are averaging 57% passing plays this season compared to 57.4% last season. We definitely are a pass heavy offense as a whole. The only reason that is going to change is that our passing offense is responsible for turning the ball over too much. Last year our QB was responsible for 6 TO's(out of 7 total) through 6 games, this is year it is 9 TO's(out of 10 total). Darnold has actually decreased his TO's every season in the NFL until now. He is on pace for a staggering 25.5 TO's in 2021. His previous high was his rookie season with 17 total.
  2. And yet nothing has changed, regardless of the attempt to develop him. You can only blame Gase and the Jets so long. At this point, it does appear the bulk of Darnold's problems were his own.
  3. fug them both. I didn't forget 2015 and 2016. I hope Denver never wins another fuging game.
  4. Oh Darnold is a fuging disaster. Unfortunately, it is sort of the disaster we feared he would be. That's the worst part.
  5. So, we basically need to hire Shurmur to evaluate QB's for us. Any dude he really wants, we immediately avoid. He doesn't like them, that's our guy.
  6. Yeah, he doesn't seem like a guy that is going to tolerate failure very well.
  7. Yeah, I am all on board for a solid journeyman veteran QB while we attempt to draft someone. #TyrodTaylor2022
  8. If that is still happening in five years, we are the actual Cleveland Browns.
  9. Imagine getting dunked on by Case Keenum like this. Also.....he available?
  10. That's about right. Hopefully in five years we can all laugh at how bad our 2020-2021 QB situations are with our new franchise QB.
  11. That Frankenstein of a QB would cost us an obscene amount of money in combined salaries.
  12. Not sure I would consider Brandin Cooks one of the best in football. He's a good WR. If we lose, I suspect it will be because we keep turning the ball over.
  13. I'm not sure what team you have been watching but we have only allowed two 100 yard receivers in six games.
  14. Agreed. No more reclamation projects on the OL either or overpaying dumpster journeymen. I don't give a fug about versatility in someone you want to start. Be good at one thing.
  15. Brady has his own issues to be sure but I do think the bulk of our problems offensively have been execution. Darnold is missing throws or making poor decisions, the receivers and RB's are dropping passes, the OL is well......a fuging disaster. So, I do think Brady is getting some unfair blame at times for the offense just executing poorly. It would be nice to see how he fared with a good QB and an adequate OL. I'm not sure we will get the chance to see that, however.
  16. Agreed. He just doesn't have the decision making ability to be a good NFL QB.
  17. In defense of our rushing defense, 42% of our total rushing yardage allowed has been to Elliott and Cook. Those are two of the top 5 rushers(in yds/GM) in the NFL currently. Taking a closer look at the rush defense specifically: Game 1(NY Jets) Jets OL(26th rated DVOA), Rushing Offense(31st in the NFL, 74.0 yds/GM) Allowed: 45 rushing yards(29 yards under avg) Game 2(New Orleans) Saints OL(5th rated DVOA), Rushing Offense(9th in the NFL, 125.8 yds/GM) Allowed: 48 rushing yards(77.8 yards under avg) Game 3(Houston Texans) Texans OL(32nd rated DVOA), Rushing Offense(26th in the NFL, 89.8 yds/GM) Allowed: 42 rushing yards(47.8 yards under avg) Game 4(Dallas Cowboys) Cowboys OL(1st rated DVOA), Rushing Offense(2nd in the NFL, 164.3 yds/GM) Allowed: 245 rushing yards(80.7 yds OVER avg) Game 5(Philadelphia Eagles) Eagles OL(21st rated DVOA), Rushing Offense(15th in the NFL, 113.7 yds/GM) Allowed: 91 rushing yards(22.7 under avg) Game 6(Minnesota Vikings) Vikings OL(25th rated DVOA), Rushing Offense(8th in the NFL, 127.8 yds/GM) Allowed: 198 rushing yards(70.2 yds OVER avg) So we have pretty much won 4 out of 6 matchups on the DL. It's just the shelling we have taken in those two big losses skewed our stats quite a bit.
  18. Oh I bet the Tepper comments are brutal. When I saw him watching the game in his box alone, that spoke volumes. I think our coaching staff is in for a blistering if this losing streak continues. Anyone who thinks Darnold is going to be anything different that his past 44 games started....I just don't know what to say to you. The problems are the same and so incredibly obvious. I am fine talking about QB next year because he will clearly be up to get replaced, whether he stays on the roster or not remains to be seen.
  19. You know, the more and more I think about this.....we should really go hard at Tyrod this offseason. His deal is up in Houston, he was only getting $5.5 mil. Why not pay him $6-8 mil/year on a two year deal and have some stability for a couple of seasons while we build that OL up? I actually really, really like that idea. He's cheaper and better than Teddy or Darnold. Nothing spectacular about him, just a steady journeyman QB that takes care of the ball.
  20. I'd say 1. Darnold, 2. CMC, 3. Robby. At least the Robby deal was relatively short and reasonably priced. CMC is a stud but my feelings on top money for a RB are well known. Darnold though....JFC. Like Rhule said....they are clearly "all in" on Sam. I'd love to hear the comments behind the scenes. I bet not a lot positive is being said in private.
