1/27 Game Thread: Canes @ Ottawa Senators 7PM Puck Drop
kungfoodude replied to Anybodyhome's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
Nice to have a stinker and still get the W, though. That's fine by me. -
I can't fathom him wanting anything to do with this situation but you never know. I don't think he moves the bar enough for us to really matter. After all, better than Sam isn't much of a bar to hit.

'20 Cam vs. '21 Garoppolo (and '19) (+ a Darnold tidbit)
kungfoodude replied to Dory's topic in Carolina Panthers
As a huge Cam fan, let it go. He is never going to be prime Cam again. I would love to have him back but I also agree with his own words, there is no reason to be a backup for a 5 win team again. Hopefully someone picks him up and he can get the ring we robbed him of in Carolina. -

You sure it's Sam's fragile psyche? At this point it seems more like Rhule's fragile psyche. -
The 4 Man Rush does a little film breakdown on him with Mike Wahle. Go to about the 47 min mark if you want to skip the playoff talk. Hit up about 45 min if you want to see Mike laughing his ass off at picking a long snapper in the 6th. Anyway, more evidence of how bad our coaching and talent evaluation is.

Matt Rhule isn't Sean Payton, though. That is the biggest difference. Plus the massive differential in roster talent. I wanted to sign him before they did. We were fuging idiots to choose Darnold over the litany of better and cheaper options. But again.....this is Matt Rhule. Being dumb is what he does.

Albert Breer on the Panthers quarterback options

Because they are dumb? -
Better isn't the question. Better enough to matter is.

BR: NFL Draft 2022: Which Players Might Get Drafted Too High?
kungfoodude replied to ladypanther's topic in 2025 NFL Draft
Just stay away from the QB's this year. Lots of coal to potentially get looking for a diamond. -
Agreed get IOL or OT4.
-
Jameis has his own TO issues and I don't think where we are on offense is likely to help his career. Not to mention he is coming off a knee injury and isn't exactly fleet of foot. He'd get crushed here.
-
But, it doesn't make sense anymore.
-
He's not enough better to overcome this situation or this coaching staff, that is for sure.
-
Do not want to see any trading of future draft capital by a lame duck staff. Hard no to getting Bill O'Brien'ed.
-
Technically we have far greater needs on the interior of the DL. Reddick's pass rush ability would be missed but he and Burns are soft in run support.
-
I would say EDGE and RB seem unlikely.

Small-handed QB argument sounds foolish on its face
kungfoodude replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
I will take this for @TheSpecialJuan. You don't want QB's with small hands because of the risk of inadequate penis size. -
It is funny and then immediately sad to see Alternate Universe Panthers have so much success.
-
I don't know that I want a desperate coach/GM trading for Deshaun Watson. Especially with a GM that traded what we did for Darnold.
