  1. It will be interesting to see Brady's career post-Carolina. I am assuming he is likely to get canned after this season, barring some major change at QB during the season. I see the set up coming, Rhule needs a scapegoat and Brady has the least ties to him. IMO, Brady is not the biggest reason for our struggles offensively but he definitely has contributed over the past two seasons. I'd like to see how he rebounds after his time here and where he does. We may find out he was just elevated too early or perhaps he was never anything more than a product of being in the right place at the right time.
  2. Build around Darnold??? Are you fuging high?
  3. I wish it was $18. That would be getting what we paid for.
  4. I am not against the idea of investing draft capital in a QB but we had that chance in 2021 and passed. We spent money in 2021 to try and protect Darnold but it was unwisely spent. So, what do you propose to do in 2022?
  5. You can try backpedaling all you want but in the context of this thread your post makes absolutely zero sense. Why the fug would we care what the Texans are on the hook for next season in a trade thread? Just admit you had no idea about the NFL salary cap and how it works.
  6. It's amazing that some people miss this as Panthers fan. How over the past four seasons have we not learned this lesson yet? How many forgot about Weinke, Rodney Peete, Jimmy Clausen, the ghost of Vinny Testaverde? Jesus.
  7. You realize this is a thread about a trade for him, correct? Or are you that fuging dumb? Did you think this was a Texans forum?
  8. Not if he gets traded, dumbass.
  9. Sad that you don't know what that means, however. The prorated signing bonus stays with the team that signed him, as that money has already been spent. But, I'm sure you weren't smart enough to know that, were you?
  10. We were bidding against ourselves for Darnold. That is the truth.
  11. Well, draft picks only go so far when your QB is a scrub that cannot take advantage of any single shred offensive talent you assemble. Take all our draft picks that have made a top 10 defense. How is that working out while our offense is shitting the bed so hard? You mean the cap that is due to explode in the next couple of seasons due to the new TV deals? I bet you have no idea what Watson would even cost us on the cap, do you?
  12. Exactly. It isn't like there were other NFL teams beating down the doors to get him. fug me....the Eagles got a far better player in Garner Minshew for a fuging 6th round draft pick. Now THAT is a low risk trade.
  13. Moton actually happens to be a good player, so we are back to what, five bums starting on offense out of 11 players? Get a decent QB and it's down to 4 out of 11 bums. That's sort of the point of getting better players is to improve the overall offense.
  14. Seems like you are generally moving the goalposts to try to make your point. The fact is, Sam Darnold is exactly who he has been his entire NFL career. It was painfully obvious that he struggled with making decisions, my God, there were plenty of fuging articles on it. We just ignored all of that and dumped draft picks to watch him do the same thing here.
  15. That is hyperbole at it's finest. The only thing wrong with our offense is that OL and the QB. Not to mention that we technically have a top 10 defense, much like LA does.
  16. Lack of overall investment. We just have not prioritized it in the past 20 years.
  17. I don't think he will get that chance unless we see Watson or some other FA QB signed mid-stream this season. I predict Brady will be the season sacrifice to save Rhule's job.
  18. Yeah, Darnold is no longer any coaches fault. He just fuging sucks.
  19. What fantasy world are you living in exactly? Well, according to one of the Huddle's Insiders, they claim Teddy was a Hurney guy. I don't think we will ever truly know who was more at fault for any of those decisions. I just know that the guy getting paid the most loot and who is supposedly the final say on personnel is ultimately responsible. If these people below you suck at making these decisions(Brady, Hurney, etc) why the fug are you listening to them? Why did you hire them?
  20. Where are you getting this idea that Brady demanded anything? Do you have any source information for that because I am pretty sure this is the first time anyone has ever mentioned that.
  21. True. We will see his true colors if we don't get Watson and we continue with Darnold.
