  1. We could also draft a guy of that caliber on a much smaller contract deal.
  2. This isn't a good year to waste a third round draft pick on a 3rd string QB. That would be an incredibly foolish decision.
  3. I am making fun of us but there is some truth to this level of dysfunction. It's really anyones guess the moves we will make.

Overall, I really want to get more top 60 or 90 picks. This class seems VERY deep, although possibly lacking many elite guys. This would be a great class to get a TE, DT/NT, DE/EDGE, RB, LB, CB, etc. Lots of options available for us. Very heavily leaning towards trading down to get more 2nd and 3rd round picks.
  5. Well, if you read the quote the one guy does say they are very strict at his franchise. Something to keep an eye on, though. If he is your guy, he might drop and be available in a trade down.

  7. Quite possibly one of the most disrespectful things I have ever seen said about a player on the Huddle.
  8. Eschew homer picks. They so frequently lead to heartache.
  9. The safety group doesn't seem that deep. I would rather spend draft capital on deep positions and get really good players. We will obviously take a kicker, long snapper and KR with our first three picks.
  10. Didn't work out at the combine with character issues??? Man, that does not seem very smart.

  12. I think it is less about there being an elite guy than we think Wonnum and Clowney are better than they are because the rest of our options are so bad.
  13. I mean Ray Lewis literally murdered a guy. Marvin Harrison did too. Crazy the difference in coverage.
  14. I wouldn't even necessarily throw the "lack of immediate impact players" as much as, lack of elite impact guys. To me the depth of this class through early 3rd round is really great. Hence why I really want to snag 3 guys in the top 60.
  15. Well, I don't think Carter is a top 5 lock(TBD). Also, quite a different class of talent in that draft on the surface. Do remember this is largely viewed as an extremely weak draft in terms of elite talent. The 2019 draft didn't have that overall view. Doesn't mean that won't ultimately will prove to be inaccurate, obviously. The 2019 draft first round is fairly solid in hindsight.
  16. Eh....don't forget likely HOF inductee, Ben Roethlisberger. He had more than one sexual assault allegation as a pro. Different times, no doubt but still.
  17. But Carter also played OLB prior to his move to EDGE. I don't see him as more well rounded than Burns. He is a poor man's Burns, IMO. Time will tell. I have been right plenty of times on evals and I have been wrong plenty of times too.
  18. Dear God....us and the fuging RAS obsession. Did the ghost of Al Davis haunt us when JR died??
