  1. He would absolutely not want to come back here. We would absolutely not want him back here. The former I can understand, the latter I can't.
  2. Eh....not sure that Plunkett still wouldn't be considered a bust. He got two rings but they were on great teams. He was rarely the reason teams won. Reference his career .500 record and only 4 winning seasons of 15. How often was he considered an elite QB after being the #1 overall draft pick. He stuck around a while but there isn't much argument for him being anything but a bust other than the two rings. Gonna day not a great example because he still really didn't pan out.
  3. Rivers was still playing at a high level for Indy but I don't think he has Brady or Brees longevity. If he doesn't, playing behind this line would send him down the road quickly.
  4. How are two street free agents with no NFL experience busts? How are you a bust as a UDFA? That is insanely ridiculous. Bradshaw....eh....that's actually an interesting case. Mainly because he was never technically a great player at any point. Two of his three Pro Bowl seasons would make Jameis Winston blush. He's really a dude that won 4 Super Bowls by being on great teams and just not fuging it up. Interesting case but also a different era. I will say a hard maybe to that one. Steve Young isn't a good example because while he may not have been good in his two years in Tampa, he ended up sitting behind one of the greatest QB's of all time in Joe Montana for 4 seasons. Was it because he took that long to adjust or was it that he was behind the best QB of his generation? Given that he immediately produced at an elite level, I would say the latter is far more likely. That is another extremely unique case but I am gonna say definitely not the same as Darnold taking 6 years. I will partially agree with Bradshaw but we are also comparing him to a dreadful QB in a running era. Even if that were the case, the modern NFL doesn't have a place for a QB that bad anymore. So, hard no and HELL no on Darnold taking 6 years. If he does, let him suck somewhere else trying to accomplish that.
  5. Yeah, ATL is the 25th rated(DVOA) rush defense and NE is 17th. Not a great rush defense but still will give us much more of an issue. Plus, as we know, they will stack the box to stop our rushing attack.
  6. Well, with Rivers we have a chance AT the playoffs with that extra berth. Now the chances of a deep playoff run with this OL?? Not very likely.
  7. Well, Kyle Allen did win us five games. That is about the max you can expect out of most backup QB's. I would say he was the last legit backup we had.
  8. It's been a 3.5 year project. It failed every year. 3 years to figure it out? How about you give us the list of QB's that took 6 years to figure out how to play in the NFL?
  9. Sam is an awful QB that makes bad decisions but PJ is next level reckless. He will laser it into some tight windows, whether open or not.
  10. I think our defense will be a problem for Jones but I think their defense is going to terrorize whatever terrible QB we suit up.
  11. You are such a strange troll to be dedicated to something as meaningless as PJ Walker's "career."
  12. Better than thrown directly to an opponent. Sam can't seem to stop that move.
  13. If we don't run it at least 50 times, we're fuged.
  14. He can gun it but his decision making is holy poo scary. Way more decisive than Darnold but he tries to gun it into the tightest windows imaginable. Just throws you cannot make at this level. Hence his 1:5 TD:INT ratio.
  15. True but a lower INT% though. Really, we just need someone not to throw the ball to the wrong team. Sadly, that's about it.
  16. If we lose PJ, we may get to see one of the greatest moments in Panthers history. Or most infamous. Or both.
  17. USC deserved sanctions, for not minding the store, by not keeping track of a players parents rental housing over 120 miles from campus. But to the extent it was, hardly. If cheating is not knowing a player was taking money from a would be agent, to LEAVE USC, then how did Pete cheat? USC sent RBs Heisman back, the Committee never asked for it back, so RB had to return his. If you didn’t read the report, you sound stupid commenting about it. We were sanctioned because the school SHOULD have known about what happened with RBs parents. JFC. How the fug are you getting so successfully trolled by one of the lower life forms in this forum? Not to mention, you are arguing with a fan that supports a G5 level football program. WTF are you even doing?
  18. Seems to me they just really have zero clue what they are doing at QB. Seems to me there are two seasons/offseasons that prove that.
  19. I'd love to ask him what he plans to do to not fug up the defense's efforts. I'd also like to ask him if he'd like to reconsider that statement after being 1-4 since CMC went out.
  20. Well, he hasn't played Matt Rhule and his college gang yet, so we will see what happens. Statistically, we should be in this one.
  21. That isn't a Panthers fan, that is a Jets fan that came over with Sam Darnold. That kind of shows you what he knows about QB's. As a Jets fan, he's never seen one other than when they played another team.
  22. I don't think the Panthers realize there are other offensive lineman and QB's available in the NFL other than what is on our roster and Deshaun Watson. I wouldn't be surprised if they were after Watson because he might be a versatile QB/OG hybrid.
