Someone hasn't been watching games. It's three screens and one Miles up middle. We have been trying to trick people by switching up which down we run on. That's Frank Reich 4D chess.
-
However the traditional TV model is built on some very, very, very shaky foundations

Mahomes sat for a year. Rodgers rode pine for multiple. Manning stunk it up in year one. Brees was trending bust after his first stop with the Chargers. Huddle legend Trevor Lawrence was cheap his first season(and honestly doesn't look like he is trending towards elite). Sometimes it just doesn't work out the way it looks it was going to.

He isn't the worst option at all, not even close. #FittererMagic

Right but this is through 4 games. Maybe Stroud never pans out. Maybe Young. Maybe Richardson. It's 4 games.
-
Also, calling your shot through 4 games of any of these QB's career is laughable. No doubt Stroud looks great now but let's calm down about 4 game career. Kyle Allen isn't headed to the HOF

Panthers Playbook intelligent discussion

It's horrifying how bad Reich has been. -

I doubt it was even as deep as that. Some of these guys want to win more than others but none of them want to win more than they want to make money. I doubt the threat of Tepper taking over the league with the Panthers ever even entered into the equation. -

The NFL isn't invested in the Panthers success. It is interested in collecting as many of the wealthiest people on earth as possible so they can all move towards ensuring the value of their investments keeps going up. -

Reasonable chance a different result in either of our Super Bowls would have drastically changed out trajectory. -

It's more of a heat check for what people think the ultimate problem is. -
Yeah, that's true, as well. I didn't have a problem with the move. I don't love the result so far. The kid(who was my horse in the race) better start looking like at least early Drew Brees the next couple of seasons.
-
I mean even if it did get worse, what would it matter? Does being competitive for some of each game matter when you are 0-4?
-
Or maybe trade up when the team is built. This one isn't even close.

He couldn't clean house either time. He has no fuging clue what he is doing. He needs some input because he knows nothing about the NFL -
Yeah, I think he might struggle to see next offseason. TBD.

Yeah that also requires a LOT of things to go right for us. But, couldn't be worse off than we are now. -
Ian Thomas must have goatpics of everyone that ever comes into the organization to have survived here as long as he has. He is the ultimate JAG.
-
I am gonna call pretty unlikely on that first point. The 49ers have been fittingly fool's gold for the entire Shananan tenure. It's not an accident.
-
If they end up with #1 and #2, they'd be fools to not trade the #2 pick away for an even bigger haul. Especially if the QB class is as hyped as anticipated. Either way, the Bears are going to get some serious talent coming in. And we are going to get basically nothing. #Fittermagic

The offense with Bryce is getting worse every week

I mean....considering how they played against Seattle, I would say the performance by that receiving corps has remained pretty pitiful throughout. -
As long as one of those guys is willing to do that, I am all for it. Understand that it isn't likely to change that much. We spent all offseason putting a scheme in place, it's hard to change that midstream and get results quickly. Even if we did, expect more sucking to happen for the remainder of the season.
-
Keep in mind that the "value" of the NFL is team value. It's like any other investment, it's value isn't based on how much raw money it makes. Carolina is a small market team. There are ample areas it can go and be more valuable than it is here. How about Toronto? Mexico City? London? I wouldn't place a bet on the franchise moving from CLT but I am not foolish enough to say it couldn't happen. Tepper was a ruthless businessman, there is no reason to think he wouldn't stay ruthless as an owner.

I don't think Wilks was the magic fix. I think defensively we are better off with the guy we have at DC over Wilks. I do think Wilks would have not been at 0-4.
