  1. I don't think they are shrewd enough to smokescreen effectively. I do think they would like to trade back but I am betting they find that harder to pull off than they want. Just a few weeks from finding out.
  2. Yeah. I think we go QB here, which is a definite improvement on positional value. The fact that it is likely to be in one of the worst QB drafts in the past few years shows that even when making a better decision, we still manage to fug it up.
  3. Yeah, I don't see any chance we are starting Darnold in game 1. They will make a trade or draft a player.
  4. One day I'd like to be one of those teams at the bottom of a first round because of consistent success. It just won't be anytime soon.
  5. Yeah, contracts are rarely looked at by fans when they think positional value. Good example being the classic anti-RB argument. Any RB in the top 10 is typically immediately a top 5-10 paid player at their position. That's a really high bar to hit to be considered a success. Agreed on how safe the pick is. I like Linderbaum a lot but taking him that high is a huge risk. You just can't afford to miss on top 10 draft picks. It still sucks if you miss on a later first round draft pick but it's not the same as being offered a chance to take one of the top 10 players in any given draft.
  6. There isn't much chance of that happening. I don't feel particularly bad for Ron because it isn't like Snyder wasn't a known scumbag before he took that position.
  7. Yeah, I mean is there anyone who can list something considered a strength that Darnold does? I can't think of any. He will go down in Panthers history as one of the biggest franchise blunders, if he plays here in 2022 or not.
  8. Yeah, if this is true he's gone as an owner. The NFL and the other owners aren't going to tolerate being cheated.
  9. Yeah, I like Linderbaum but this talk of taking a C at 6 were nuts. If you miss on that pick, it's basically one of those ones that you never live down. Not to mention your guy is now one of the highest paid centers in the NFL.
  10. If Miami fugs up the pick, could be a lose-lose.
  11. The 2nd is mainly just to get rid of Darnold, which is probably also too steep but I just don't really even want to see him in a Panthers uniform for another year.
  12. Baker is worth a 2nd rounder if they take Darnold. That is pretty much it. And mainly that is getting to dump Darnold. Outside of that 3rd round is iffy. 4th or later is ideal.
  13. Baker is much more fixable than Darnold. Although that isn't really saying a lot.
  14. And how many Pitt games did you watch this season?
  15. Replace Pickett with Bridgewater and read the article.
  16. B. We are unable to trade down from 6 but trade 2023 draft picks to move into the 1st, 2nd or 3rd round to get some guy Rhule really wants and will have the Huddle scratching their heads.
  17. So, he was the guy that tried to talk someone else out of Wilson. That's great
  18. I know they haven't been terribly impressive recently. Not sure if that is the department or the leadership, though. That feels like an assessment that would have to be made by someone in the scouting community.
  19. Someone is snitching on themselves. The man publicly states he doesn't know why he is losing and Tepper still has him employed. Pretty sure we all know who the biggest clown in the organization is.
  20. I mean, I did but that would ruin the joke.
  21. I didn't even look at them.
  22. Two of these three is smart. 66.7% chance we don't fug this up.
