Cam Hayward on Baker to Carolina.

You are literally inserting words I did not say. Read the post and respond to what I said, not what you interjected in your head. You are literally arguing with a phantom version of something that only exists in your brain. -

And anyone can check the record. I was one of the very, very few to defend Robbie while he was struggling. All it took was for him to say poo about the fans booing while we had to endure yet another season of awful play. Had he lashed out at fans for cussing at him or saying some completely out of line poo, I'd have been on his side. Bullying on social media? I'm on the players side. But booing?? Given what we have had to watch for years now and pay to do so? Get fuged, Robbie or any other player that says fans can't boo a terrible product on the field. And to be clear, I have been attending sporting events for more than 30+ years and I haven't booed in a stadium, arena or field one fuging time. But I damn sure don't blame people that do. -

I was a defender of Robbie most of the season but when he said that they didn't need fans that boo, I was off that bandwagon permanently. You can't play like dogshit all season and then turn on the fans. Derrick Brown did it too. I suspect that's the typical Rhule lack of personal responsibility thing. -
His playing style caused a tremendous amount of wear and tear on him. Remember the ankle and foot injuries too? It wasn't just his shoulder. The lack of pass protection and his playing style both contributed to his eventual decline. You just can't play that way forever in the NFL.

RB did seem like a pretty odd choice. I think it's bouyed by having a potentially elite RB. -
Carolina Panthers Running back The caveat of "if he stays healthy" looms large, but a healthy Christian McCaffrey is one of the best players in football -- ranking in the top 10 in both receiving and rushing value in both 2018 and 2019. There's concern that his repeated ankle and hamstring injuries will zap some of his explosiveness, but if he can get back to his fully healthy form, you can count the better backs in the league on one hand. If McCaffrey does get injured, the Panthers added a reliable back in D'Onta Foreman, who finished in the top 10 in rushing yards over the back half of last season while filling in for the injured Derrick Henry on the Titans. Foreman is tough to bring down once he gets a head of steam and provides a nice contrast for McCaffrey.

If we don't see TMJ carve out a role this year, I am gonna start the "Ghost of Hurney" rumor. -
Key to the offence: Brady Christensen

I don't see why anyone would consider Ekwonu starting at LG anything but bad news. We drafted him in the top 10 to be our LT. We will have to take some lumps and he might not have a Slater-esque start but I'd rather him get the reps and accelerate his learning curve than play LG. -

Yeah, didn't like the pick given the options still available but if he's an above average depth OL then it definitely isn't a disaster. We probably still have a couple of offseasons of trying to fill out that OL but if we just improve from last year that is a step in the right direction. -
Yeah, these aren't rare. I won't argue the point about player leadership because Rivera did have a very, very, very strong veteran led teams. I'm not sure if it's traits or just general inexperience/youth but we don't seem to have much if anything like that on our post-Rhule squads.

I think the "undersized" more so related to him doing some tough running in college that he is going to have to curtail in the NFL for longevity. Which, Cam was a massive, physical specimen and playing the way he did eventually cost him his career. He definitely can't be averaging over 9 carries per game like he did at Ole Miss.

Watch him play. Retard. -
Lots of guys rated behind Darnold that shouldn't be there. I guess EA Sports still believes too.

Some linemen do have relatively long careers. If he develops he could have some time in the league as a high caliber player. I don't see it happening but it is possible. -
It's just basically the difference in seeing one guy play versus not seeing one guy play. Christensen is more athletically talented but he was not good last year and didn't show much promise. Mays is a long shot and less talented guy in theory but he hasn't played a down of NFL football so there is still hope he can do something. I don't mean to say that there is no hope for BC but I think reality showed how steep of a hill he has to climb to be an NFL starter.

I think Brown was always fool's gold. Mike Wahle is right about what he says about him, IMO. If you keep struggling with weight issues you aren't doing what needs to be done to be an elite player. I suspect he will be gone as soon as this staff is.

Well, that depends on how much the cap skyrockets. It's projected to go up tremendously when the new TV deal money hits. So, that being the case, these contracts may not seem big at all in 5 years. Especially when compared to the cap. These contracts are a bet on the future cap going up a LOT.

https://cardswire.usatoday.com/2022/05/30/qb-trace-mcsorley-says-kyler-murray-sees-the-game-in-a-way-many-cant/ That wasn't exactly it. He is basically saying he doesn't need as much time as most QB's because of how well he processes/retains the information. Perhaps that is true. Even still....I am not sure I am putting Kyler Murray as a top 5 QB in the NFL and that is how he is getting paid.

I meant outside of injuries but obviously that would be thr most likely reason we see some of our failed signings again. I am not a believer in BC as much more than a decent backup caliber LT. Perhaps Mays makes a splash right away and supplants Elflein but I wouldn't personally bet on it early in the season.
-
Either high level favoritism in play or our offseason signings were a fuging disaster if we see both.
-
I suspect we see the initial starting lineup as Ekwonu and Moton outside(obviously) and some combo of Elflein, Bozeman and Corbett inside. I think most other options are probably a little far fetched. If it doesn't work this way, I would think it's because Elflein struggles and we just generally have to make do from a bunch of less than stellar options available.

Yeah, Donte is likely to always be streaky. Not sure I would have given him that contract but he is probably the biggest ball hawk at CB the franchise has ever had. I will give him that. -

He doesn't generate a lot of push because although he is a great athlete he is not very strong and his technique is still lacking. He is definitely a project player. -
