  1. Not a position of dire need, IMO. That said, he is a very dynamic offensive weapon. I'd be curious what the cost is.
  2. I can think of some but almost all of them are pretty bad news for us.
  3. Davante Adams can only be so good with Mac Jones throwing to him.
  4. IMO, I think he is probably not going to make an impact for us. He's down a year of development for an injury and he will likely be playing for a new coach in 2023 that has no ties to him. Unless he really impresses next offseason, I suspect he will get pushed down the chart pretty far. Depends on personnel, of course. If Mayfield signs an extension or we draft a QB in the first two rounds, I don't see him ever getting any meaningful time here.
  5. I think he means that he looked like he has a steep learning curve in front of him and that he will almost be starting from scratch in 2023. I tend to agree. I don't think he will be ready to do much in 2023. Maybe by 2024.
  6. I'd say the 2021 draft is looking a little shaky at the moment. Horn SHOULD pan out but after that it will depend on the rest of the group. TMJ isn't looking good and BC is a TBD. The rest of the draft appears to be largely JAG/depth guys that may or may not pan out. If we get 2 guys from that 4th-7th round group on second contracts as role players on second contracts, that's a passing grade. If we get a starter from that group, it's a great grade. If TMJ and/or BC don't pan out, it isn't looking good for that class.
  7. Seems like very little smoke and no visible fire.
  8. Maybe that is it. The timing really doesn't make sense.
  9. This would be an exceptionally strange signing. I thought if anything our safeties are pretty well set and we had quality players. Post-Achilles tear Collins is a downgrade from Chinn, IMO. Are we planning on running with three safeties? Collins was a hybrid linebacker/safety in his last season with Washington. Is this because we view the DB's as weak or the LB's? Very odd.
  10. Baker as QB1? - Kind of depends on some other factors. I think the overall QB play will improve dramatically. Less sure about the overall results. McAdoo's system? - This is a wildcard for me. Has the potential to be both the most and least impactful thing. Strange statement, I realize but I am not sure what to think of Rhule's input/control until I see it in 2022. Improved O-line? - This has a big potential to lead to our success/struggles. Maybe one of the biggest factors. Return of CMC? - Would be a major factor if he stays healthy. Other? - I don't think the other offensive position groups will have as much impact on our overall success. Our defense might, however. That will be worth watching.
  11. I was a big Slater fan and I think Panther fans might have some recency bias about that position because of it. LT's normally struggle for a bit before they start to figure things out. Don't get me wrong, usually it isn't 3-4 seasons of struggling. That usually means you suck. But if it takes 2-3 seasons before you start playing at an elite level, that isn't unusual.
  12. This isn't about Matt Rhule winning an extra game, it's about the future of the franchise. Play the top 10 pick in the spot he was drafted to play. Let him take his lumps and learn. Also, I am not on the BC bandwagon at LT. He doesn't have a long term future there, most likely. So, again, we are accomplishing nothing. I'd rather listen to people cry and bitch like Giants fans did about Andrew Thomas or Lions fans about Penei Sewell. All that bitching and crying eventually got quiet as those guys got better and better.
  13. All this talk of putting him at OG is fuging moronic. Start him at LT and take your lumps. Not everyone is Slater. Most of these young LT's doing well now didn't start out playing well. Let them get the reps and hope they eventually become elite. No one should expect a Pro Bowl performance by Ekwonu this season because the instances of that happening for rookie LT's are rare.
  14. This is the best content from camp basically all offseason. Bravo, sir.
  15. I can't see it but I am here for the unreal chaos it would create.
  16. Cutting Corral would cause an EPIC Huddle meltdown.
  17. Yeah, I hope the OL can look good and start developing chemistry
  18. I mean....a bunch of those guys are barely NFL players.
  19. I mean, you kind of lay out my case for why this isn't a good unit but just view it as a good unit. I don't think we are gonna agree on this. Let the season play out and we can revisit the "most collective talent" comment.
  20. Watching at home. Was losing my mind over the course of that game. So many crazy highs and lows. In OT and I took off and put on the jersey like a maniac as plays went against us and for us. The final play I was losing my mind.
  21. Maybe not blown away that he was kept, but completely blown away by what we paid him to stay.
  22. X-Clown is forever burned in my brain. I kept donning and taking off my jersey in excitement and angst as the game went on. Tons of other great games(most of them mentioned in this thread already) to choose from but I will never forget the wild swings of emotion from that 2003 game against The Greatest Show on Turf. Although I grew up with the Panthers(inaugural season onward), that game made me a lifelong Panthers fan.
