The most important thing is actually NFL level ability to read the field and the ability to digest new schemes and offenses. The NFL arm can put you into an elite class but not without that "NFL brain" to go with it.

Lots of factors. Depends on the FO power, the HC, OC, QB we drafted, QB roster, etc. I just don't see any way that Richardson could possibly help us in the short term. That doesn't seem like a 1st round type of move considering where we will likely be drafting.

It's not just fans that push moves like that. Also, who the fug would start over him? Corral?

He is a guy that makes sense if you have a abive average to elite QB on your roster and can take a flier on him in the 2nd to 4th rounds. A developmental guy. He is likely to be an unmitigated disaster as a first round pick on a team like ours. The fans will be clamoring for him as soon as he is drafted and if he develops at all, it's going to take some time. It would not work out here.

He is extremely talented and I have zero issue drafting him, for the record.

I mean, from watching Richardson play, the problems appear to mostly be him. Not all him for sure.

That's a lot of words to come up with, "I don't follow college sports enough to know who is draft eligible but I sure have a strong opinion on...."

People have definitely not been talking about how INSANELY easy the Ohio State's schedule has been this year. Not trying to take anything away from Stroud per se but playing the sisters of the poor every week does factor in.

So they have a 10-15% drop rate? I am gonna guess that is not the case.

Except neither Cam nor Fields struggled with accuracy like Richardson has. Cam was a 65.4% career passer in college. Justin Fields was a 68.4% career passer. Anthony Richardson is now at 54.7% as a career passer. The kid does not see the field well at all. And he also cannot hit his target often. Those are two of the biggest red flags possible for an NFL prospect at QB.

I don't think he has ever faced something as challenging as Nebraska, though.

I would say this far out there is little chance of smokescreens. That does happen during the draft cycle.

Saw an article the other day quoting 4-5 current NFL FO guys and they all were still high on Levis. Perhaps the NFL crowd isn't as down on him as we are. TBD.
