Great stuff. Listened to it as I was driving through OH.

Yeah, why would we shop our Week 1 starter?

I think the Mayfield question is more complex than even performance. It will depend on Tepper's level of micromanagement and what the direction of the current/next coaching staff is. If Tepper is/was a Baker guy, I think Baker will be here. If the next coach is a Baker guy, he will be here. But if Tepper isn't a Baker guy and Rhule/new coach aren't Baker guys, he is gonna be gone. It would probably take an All-Pro performance in 2022 for the latter opinions to change.

Saturday Scrimmage Play by Play and Observations

I certainly haven't seen anything credible showing him "highly ranked" nor thought of in "NFL circles." If anything, he's an "incomplete" because he isn't a real GM. We have no idea what he is truly responsible for and what Matt Rhule is responsible for. I hope it's been a healthy dose of Rhule on the many bad moves we've seen. -

Yeah, hence why I am wary of proclaiming Fitterer some sort of genius. He isn't a real GM and our moves have been equally good and bad. I hope to see him in a traditional GM role with our next coach. I think that will let us know if he is the guy or not. -

The price was absurd. Not a smart move by Fitterer/Rhule. -
It's all academic until we start playing games. I don't believe it's impossible to have a terrible season, especially had we been facing the spector of seeing Darnold for most of the year(you have to assume eventually Corral would get a shot in that scenario). My argument for the low win total projection is that our season's house of cards largely revolves around a bunch of "if's" panning out. If our OL improves, if our QB play improves, if CMC stays healthy, if our DL improves, if our LB's improve, if our DB's improve, if our OC works out, etc, etc, etc. I just don't see enough of those "if's" turning out our way in one offseason for us to make that next step up as a team. We will see. I am perfectly happy to be wrong and watch winning football again. I just don't view that as terribly likely.

Yeah but Baker playing at a high level may not lead to winning. Do you remember recent Superb Owl champion Matt Stafford's entire career with the Lions? Do you remember Matt Ryan's time with Atlanta? Deshaun Watson with Houston? You can be a really good or even elite QB and not be able to overcome shitty coaching or just a poo situation. Hell, look at our own Cam Newton.

I see Sam to the Rams possibly in the near future...

This I could see, although the 49ers may be reticent to trade him inside the division without a haul in return. -
I predict Jordan, Mays and Erving from that final grouping.

This is how you end up being mentally ill. Being on social media enough that you post about DM's people send you with screenshots of things people say about you in some random internet forum. That's a tough life, living second to second staring at a cell phone screen.

It was an intelligence test. You both failed.

This is why he doesn't get many quality veterans interested in coming here. Ignorant poo like this. That and he can't win any games, of course.
-
You learn by playing. That is literally the job of a professional football player and ESPECIALLY first round picks. There is no excuse for being as dense as Rhule is being. The fact is that he has no fuging idea what he is doing when it comes to poo like this. He cannot get his head out of a HS/college mentality.
-
You draft a LT that high, he is your starter. That's just how it goes. He takes his lumps and learns on the job. Literally almost every top 15 drafted left tackle in the last decade has started at....TACKLE. So if we don't do that, it isn't because Rhule has figured something out other coaches haven't. It's that he hasn't figured out what everyone else already knew.

Pats with a strict no camera policy? Gee, I wonder why they do that....
