I think that is just a part of it. They finally have much more freedom to transfer around. It's better for the players and the NFL teams for sure. It sucks for the colleges but really, fug all them. They had roughly 100 years of taking advantage of a fixed system. I will shed not a single tear for college football teams nor their fans.

I somewhat disagree. If you have played in the NFL, that will give you the necessary experience to see how to prepare properly and how to deal with NFL professionals. The rest is just coaching. You need to figure out how to be a good coach in general, regardless of level. I think Kingsbury jumped too many levels to being a head coach(in college, much less to the NFL). He needs a long stint as an OC in the NFL and then maybe he might be worth trying at HC again.

I know we like to have some fun with hyperbole but McCall is not even close to the same QB Levis is. Levis is a first round draft pick. No matter where McCall goes, he won't be.

Kingsbury was in the NFL for 5 seasons as a player. That's actually NFL experience. Way more than Matt Rhule and Urban Meyer combined.

OG Hornets were the best ticket in all of college and professional NC sports. Not kidding. The only things that come close are Canes Stanley Cup runs and UNC/Duke basketball. Nothing else compared to that.

Then came the hubris of Bob Johnson and the incompetence of Michael Jordan. It would take a LOT to rehab the Hornets at this point. I don't see that ever happening under MJ. I think a Trubisky led Steelers team is about as close to a stone cold lock of a victory as the Panthers can hope for. The Lions are going to be tough, the Saints and Tampa are going to be tough. So 1-3 worst case scenario but it is very possible that we run the table. One thing that will be absolutely critical is gaining leads early, because we do not have an offense capable of mounting a comeback with Darnold at the helm. PJ might be able to accomplish that but Darnold is just too limited to be able to trust to do that. It's going to be a very interesting ride because we still have a chance of being a top 5 pick overall, as well. Way more intrigue than I ever expected after canning Rhule. I don't particularly care about the outcome this year so it's been pretty amazing to watch these games stress free.

I think you have to let it all play out. If you name him HC and we rattle off 4 losses(which I don't see happening) then it looks like a premature move. Make that an offseason determination. Perhaps the guys will fight harder to make him the guy. We shall see.
