  1. Quick, someone Photoshop Sam and PJ'S head on those.
  2. I definitely don't like all that getting leaked. Burns and his agent are going to fuging rape us on that deal. Or, even worse, we can't come to an agreement and he ends up eventually getting away. I think we will all be salty about that.
  3. Yeah, Bradberry and Horn as bookends would be fuging bananas.
  4. Yeah, I am willing to give Fitterer a chance but if it comes down to a top coaching candidate wanting a change there......sorry 'bout your luck Fitty.
  5. That's actually older. I am guessing that was the situation that got Tepper to call him.
  6. Maybe. It depends on how it shakes out. Sometimes that QB rush doesn't materialize and the order gets strange pretty quickly or a rash of trade ups with throw everything off. I think we should be able to get a good talent but it may not be in a position that is necessarily worth a top 9 pick. 8-9 is kind of tough sometimes if the top 10 talent is a little thin in high value positions. Seems like this is DL and WR heavy. Both of which we could use.
  7. Yeah and that is where I do tend to agree, some teams may not want to disrupt a successful run(also keep in mind the trade deadline is Week 8). I also generally disagree on the "future picks having less value." I don't think they are quite as devalued as you do. It really doesn't matter. Burns career arc will judge the compensation and decision. Especially since that offer is long gone now.
  8. Yeah, at the end of the day they are going to do something that is the least schedule disruptive and least impactful to the overall bottom line. That's probably either playing the game tomorrow or canceling it. There is no perfect solution.
  9. Another elite WR is an option in the 6-9 range. I would rather have an elite DE prospect if those fall or, obviously ideally, a good QB candidate. We will see how the board shakes out. I do think this is a spot where we could see a trade down depending on what is available(or projected to be).
  10. There is literally zero chance of this. They will cancel the game before they let it completely screw up the remaining playoff and Super Bowl schedule.
  11. Only a UNC homer would make such an insane proposition. The kid is obviously very talented but the NFL draft road is littered with QB's who have a solid one year of film on them, sky high future draft stock and then the rest of their college career doesn't show enough improvement. That goes for the Caleb Williams fanboys, as well. Sure, it's nice to look ahead at that and wish but we are a long way from them going through their draft process and having multiple years of film to study.
  12. I think that is the MOST logical and least impactful to the schedule option. But it would have been announced by now.
  13. I would generally disagree on the amount of teams that would decline. Maybe there are some situations but probably not many. Yeah, his production declined a little towards the end of the year but I don't make this determination on the player as much as the compensation. That is a wild amount of draft capital to be holding.
  14. That's fair and I generally agree that is the most likely but it is still 100% speculation.
  15. Yeah, I understand the thought process but I don't think really any other team in the league would turn down that haul for Burns.
  16. I just hope we do our do diligence and don't fixate like we did last time. I also hope we have football knowledgeable people involved that can cut through any potential BS.
  17. Everything is 100% speculation at this point. Even the diagnosis of what happened that everyone seems to generally agree on. It's not worth much effort speculating, IMO. Just wait and see what the updates are.
  18. It's always tough to be the OC under a coach that is perceived as being the offensive guru. It's hard to get much credit.
  19. Players will bitch about that. A lot of then don't want more pads. That will have to be an NFL mandated thing. Sort of like those insanely goofy bobblehead things that certain positions were wearing in training camps on their helmets. Well the data shows that they reduce instances of concussions pretty dramatically. I have no doubt you will see something like that be mandatory at some point in time. And then the players and fans will throw a shitfit because they don't like change.
  20. That's a fan thing. The NFL has probably been working on that pretty much around the clock. They are a multi-billion dollar business and those companies don't shut down for things like this.
  21. Agreed but that aspect of "final say" is pretty important. And some of those relationships aren't as collaborative. We have definitely heard plenty of those stories, even in our own organization.
  22. Sounds like most that don't perish immediately recover well, so that seems encouraging for Hamlin. Not sure what else the NFL could do except maybe beef up the chest protectors.
  23. Eh.....that's a Reid disciple, so I think that is a lot closer to a collaborative thing than a GM/HC division.
  24. I haven't reached that point yet. I am seeing how this next coaching hire works out. I want that to be the case but I know it can get worse. There is more than one example of that in NFL history. We just have to hope Tepper is capable of understanding his weaknesses and correcting them. If not....we are fuged until he sells us or passes away. Neither of those being something that is likely to happen quickly.
  25. I mean....if we set a floor lower than Rhule with our next hire.....buckle up, it's gonna be a long, long next decade or two.
