  1. You are aware that Baker Mayfield basically did this, right? Like....this season? Also....Cam Newton did this for us last year. Young is very capable of winning an NFL game with a week of prep....provided that he has a good head coach and OC making a gameplan that allows him to be successful. That happens all the time with actual rookie QB's that need to have pared down offenses initially.
  2. We would be nuts to get rid of Pineiro.
  3. Yeah, he literally probably would if we didn't have a complete moron as an OC.
  4. It's gonna be interesting if TCU drags UM and then Georgia loses.
  5. Curious to see what the scouting community says about him towards draft time.
  6. Tua had durability concerns in college too. We will see how it all shakes out.
  7. Yeah, he is gonna a be a very successful NFL player, IMO.
  8. I honestly don't think there will actually be much of a discussion at the end of the day. IMO, the majority of NFL FO's view him as the top guy and probably have for a while.
  9. There are a bunch of people here that would rather have Darnold than Bryce Young, somehow. This place is really something.
  10. Kurt's wife looks like she is in some sci-fi movie. That is some wild fuging hair.
  11. Sometimes it does. It generally favors more creative coaches, that is for sure.
  12. IDK. We will see. A lot can change with a month to prepare for a game.
  13. He was the better of the Montana brothers but ended up addicted to donut holes which led to diabetes.
  14. Yeah and he struggled a LOT with processing the field in college, so that shouldn't be a surprise that he is struggling with that at the NFL level. He is a longer term project. If he hasn't shown anything by year 4, then you can probably chalk that up as a failed project.
  15. Yeah, the way these fans are talking is basically like Browns fans. We are basically the Browns at this point.
  16. Well those are two wildly different things. Carr is an actual NFL starting caliber QB so there would be a major price increase. Darnold is probably looking at something along the $4-6 mil/year lines, if he is very lucky. Carr is capable of winning in the NFL, Darnold is not. He needs a perfect scenario around him and to be limited dramatically. That isn't going to change. Now, would I pay the likely FA tag on Carr? Eh.....depends. If we can draft a guy that the FOOTBALL people in the organization believe in, that is probably the best route. If that isn't an option, Carr is probably easily the best case scenario for a team like ours. But, I highly doubt he would want anything to do with a franchise like ours unless we are willing to pay above market value.
  17. I can't help that through four games you can't see the obvious. Notice that when our running game was shut down, so was he. I get it, some people just don't understand football or what they are watching. It's just profoundly strange that after 5 years some people still are high AF on hopium.
  18. I supposed he is like 64% completion. percentage on passes over 10 yards, that's not nothing. Still, you can see that we are intentionally limiting his use.
  19. Shaq gets unfairly poo on because he had massive and really impossible to fill shoes taking over for TD and Luke. Also that wild contract doesn't help. He is one of our better defensive players and he is definitely our veteran leader on that defense. Probably has been almost the entire Rhule tenure.
