  1. TBH, it's been a rough season for Legette. He has very little in the way of pass catching fundamentals. IMO, we need to pivot from him as a realistic #1 guy and find that player in the draft or free agency. It will give him a lower pressure environment to develop.
  2. But Ginn could get open a lot more consistently too. He was a better route runner(not saying a lot), as well. TBH, at this rate I would kill for XL to be as good as Ted Ginn.
  3. I agree. Hence why I say it seems to be an organizational thing. Spanning many years for that matter.
  4. Well they play each other, so one of them will even out. But you are missing literally the other five 3 win teams too.
  5. Honestly, depends on where we end up. If you end up in the 4 to 6ish range, you are probably better off trying to snag one of the very few elite rated guys than trade down into the crapshoot area. That said, this draft is supposedly fairly loaded with B caliber guys that can be solid starting players/rotational guys. I also really hate trading down as a Panthers fan because about 99.8% of the time we fug that up. We almost always fug up trading up. IDK....we will see what happens. We just need to channel our inner Hurney in the 1st.
  6. I don't think you have looked at the standings recently.
  7. Lol. We will not be anywhere near #1. Likely in the 5-10 range. Which means we are not likely to be able to get them.
  8. That's not true. That was 8 words.
  9. After Hunter and McMillian there is a MASSIVE drop off in terms of elite guys. If they are gone at our pick, you take something other than a WR. It would be a way bigger reach than XL at 32. This is a bad WR draft on paper.
  10. I am not giving him a pass, I didn't like this past draft and haven't been wrong about many of the picks(Wallace perhaps). Just saying you can't put TMJ in his lap, he literally wasn't here.
  11. I went to one of the games that year, so it is seared in my memory.
  12. You can have a guy that isn't a speedster at #1 or #2. Not as many examples of it but there are plenty in the past 25 years.
  13. Not a fair comparison. He has literally already beaten Jarrett's 4 year career numbers in receptions, yards and TD's.
  14. Incorrect. He was hired in May, 2021 after the draft in which we took TMJ.
  15. 2021 Lions. That was the season they started building momentum late in the year. Similar situation. Finished 3-13-1
  16. Coker is an exceptional route runner with very goos hands, that is something you can always build around.
  17. Yeah, he is #1 on that list. For whatever that is worth, I suppose. We have only drafted 4 WR's in the first round in franchise history. He would current be miles behind the rookie seasons of Benjamin and Moore. Fairly close to Carruth, however. If he plays at the same averages, he will be very close.
  18. Goes beyond his tenure, though. It's an organizational thing, apparently.
  19. McConkey was and is worlds better than XL. He will be a 10+ year WR. Never a #1 but a very good #3 WR that can get open and make plays. I was all in on McConkey over XL. XL is exactly as advertised, a deeply, DEEPLY fundamentally flawed WR but a great athlete. Same as TMJ and Mingo.
  20. Coker is a building block. That is a guy that could be a #2 or #3 WR for years to come. We just need a real #1
  21. TMJ, Mingo, XL We have a knack for finding a RAS WR that has absolutely zero fundamentals.
  22. Yeah, he was a bad pick for sure. Great measurables but terrible fundamentals. That's why he basically didn't produce his entire college career. He is worth developing but was a massive overdraft and really needs to be developed as a #3 or #4 WR, not a #1.
  23. Mays is a great backup but he is a backup. We need to get a starting caliber center and that goes back before the season started. Mays we should keep, like BC, because they are such valuable guys coming off the bench
