  1. Eh....you should be. He is far from a proven entity. But, now we will get to see him in a traditional role. All the blame and credit for future moves will be his(like the Robby trade).
  2. Wake me when we put together a cohesive half of football offensively. Not even a whole game, a good half from end to end.
  3. Yeah and how did that all work out? I don't think you get extra credit for finding a new way to be bad on offense.
  4. To the tune of 10 points and 203 yards? Pray tell, what was the significant difference?
  5. I an actually pretty amazed that anyone still debates the QB situation. At this point is it not painfully obvious that no QB is going to succeed with this offense? McAdoo keeps conclusively proving he is not an NFL caliber OC.
  6. Not sure if you have been in a coma the past few seasons but.....
  7. Actually, we get the #32 pick. Miami is forfeiting their 1st round pick.
  8. Where are the Robbie defenders now? Defends Rhule, drops passes like he has Crisco gloves, calls out fans for booing and gets into fights with the WR coaches. fug him and the train he rode in on.
  9. Almost everyone else in the NFL has been on this program for years now.
  10. Yeah, that path to NFL success is very nuanced for QB prospects. Lots of factors to account for. That is why it is so difficult
  11. Hard to say, TBH. Stafford got mauled in Detroit fairly regularly and led them to modest success at times. I think he would have run that Brady scheme a lot more effectively than Darnold, for certain.
  12. I think a guy like Stafford would have made our success level go up, perhaps even 8 or 9 wins in a season. But the reality is that would have likely doomed us to more Rhule years and not any actual NFL success.
  13. Yep. I really hope we don't goof this up. If so, my faith in the future will be very limited. We can only go as far as our leadership will allow.
  14. One of the biggest issues we need to figure out is our compensatory picks. We do an exceptionally bad job of balancing the offseason signings and positioning ourselves well to get those picks.
  15. It is the best way but you can also end up in a decade or more long string of failed experiments. The biggest thing is having quality evaluators capable of identifying franchise QB talent. Then having good management in place to make the decision to get a franchise caliber guy. If you lack one or the other, it's just a parade of bad choices and losing seasons. So, while all that sounds easy, it's a lot harder in practice.
  16. Yeah well the difference there is hardware. The Rams have a Super Bowl championship to point to, even if Stafford's long term health declines. They reached the mountaintop. We haven't had a winning season since 2017. Would Stafford have won a championship here? Highly unlikely given how badly managed this team has been. But staring at your prospective QB win a title elsewhere will always hurt.
  17. The next few months will tell us a lot about that.
  18. This is the recovering from getting rid of a crazy ex period. Once the new fling happens, we'll just have an occasional story about how bad this all was.
  19. fuging college football fans are the worst.
