I watched two of the Minnesota vids from last season and he had one moderate criticism of Theilen on running out of bounds too early but it was pretty minor. Basically no real positives or negatives otherwise. Very neutral. My ultimate guess is that the little frustrated tantrum Theilen threw probably really rubbed JC the wrong way, so he took it out on him. IDK. I guess we will see what he says the rest of the season.

I don't think it's an accident that the only player we had getting open with any sort of consistency in Game 1 was Theilen. We have 16 games left so I hope they can prove me wrong but right now this WR corps probably strikes fear in basically no NFL defense.

I don't disagree but if you can't get separation then it will never matter if you can or can't. Hence why I made that statement. You need to be able to get separation to be an effective weapon in the current NFL.

You can't throw 50/50 balls consistently. If you aren't open, you aren't gonna see the ball that much. In a desperate situation, sure.

That is just 15 plays. I watched it again and this was what I saw. Play 1: Open Play 2: Open Play 3: Debatable. Gets open on the QB scramble. Would have been a tough throw to hit. Bryce made the better choice going where he did. Play 4: Not open Play 5: Open but he is gonna get obliterated for virtually no gain. Hospital ball if he throws it. Play 6: Not in the play. Play 7: Not in the play. Play 8: Not open. Play 9: Not open. Play 10: Not open. Play 11: Open but this should have been a TD to the guy he throws it to. Bryce made the right read. Play 12: Not open. Play 13: Not open. Play 14: Not open when Bryce throws. Play 15: Open and catch.

I didn't see Thielen getting open often live. I haven't gone back to re-watch it though.
