We finally get to see Brooks this week

Eh....I would largely temper the expectations for 2024. Hopefully at some point he shows flashes but he is coming off an extended layoff and a serious injury. It takes time to usually trust the knee for most guys. Be patient. I say this as a guy that remains flabbergasted by the pick. Let's not get crazy this season if he doesn't look amazing. Now 2025 however...... -
He is a FA after 2025. The 2026 year is just a void year. He isn't on the roster, it's a cap trick.
-
That's not necessarily the case and it would also be unwise to just eat a $31.5 mil cap number. The way it is structured, it was intended to be extended.
-
It's not on the radar, until it's a hole. Mind you, solid RT's are certainly easier to find than solid LT's. It's also an area where you should be able to get someone in the late 1st through early 3rd and have them potentially be starting caliber. As for BC's contract, are you talking about with us or in general?
-
We have not. He wasn't a LT. Simple as that. BC would be a pretty big downgrade, IMO. He is not bad, but it's a step down. I would rather draft the future at both RT and C.
-
We will likely extend him, IMO.

Carolina may not "be sold" on young (per athletic)

Teddy had 4 wins in one season(4-11) versus the ~1.5 seasons of Bryce(4-17). Not sure that is much to write home about. -
Well he would be 36 next year and a UFA. Unless he is planning on being cheap and a backup to Kochetkov, I can't see this continuing.
-
Meniscus maybe? I can't see it being ligaments or he would be done for the year.
-
I definitely remember more mid-30's guys than that. Maybe we are just in a cycle of that group getting smaller. Or maybe these guys are just not choosing to play as long?
-
Damn, I didn't realize the 34+ crowd had gotten so thin. Yeah, I guess this is sort of towards the end, in that case.
-
I do feel like that isn't the case for most OL and DL. They don't suffer from some of the same issues most skill players do in terms of lost explosion/agility. It's really about wear and tear on lineman. Are they able to stay healthy enough to last and are they able to have exceptional technique that can counter the effects of father time? Also, we haven't seen a big drop off from Moton yet. I know he didn't look very good last year but that whole line was a mess so it's hard to get too mad at anyone individually. But, we also have to consider that Moton is an above average OT but has never been elite. Perhaps we don't get rid of him due to decline in the end, but because it's cheaper to draft a replacement.
-
TBH, if Moton wants to and he takes care of himself in a manner to preserve his long term health, he could play until 36-38 or even more. It's not unheard of on the OL.
-
I think once we get a great C, we will be. BC and Mays are average or lower. That's fine but we need a real solution there for years to come.
-
They are gonna find out just like we did....he just isn't a guy. Never understood the stans that kept on saying it was us. Nah....it was him.

Cam will be on a reality show, airing in January

I don't think we have had many truly harmful, thankfully. He is definitely a nutter, however, even by Huddle standards which is really quite the statement. -

That dude is one of the most mentally unstable posters who has ever graced this place.
