  1. More likely barno would rotate in for Luvu (or shaq) in that package. Luvu the set the edge OLB vs barno the qb pressure OLB
  2. I see Brown playing plenty of nose. He is basically the prototypical player for that role. You could argue it wastes some of his talent but he will end up there, especially when there are only two down lineman.
  3. Nickel is one of the most important positions in 3-4. He will be on the field a lot even if that’s all he plays. We could effectively have 2 nickels on the field a decent bit in “dime” coverage. Rowe, Jammie, etc can all play the other spot. bigger question is where does Luvu go in nickel if Shaq is ILB. Likely means he’s at OLB and haynes/barno more backing up Burns or 3rd down specialists.
  4. Who does his play style compare to? How does it compare to dj more?
  5. Not sure how we will use him. Just showing athleticism + body size data comps if we drafted him as a developmental freak.
  6. His athleticism comps are all more edge rusher types than off ball LBs. Brian burns, Khalil Mack, Ebiketie, etc https://www.mockdraftable.com/player/brandon-smith-2022?position=ATH
  7. He has 80% coverage grade per PFF. It would appear to be his best skill.
  8. Ron doesn't seem overly pumped up about this one. The past two years they were both all smiles in similar interviews. This year..not so much
  9. Cam of all qbs needs good hands. He throws so hard
  10. To be fair, I make a lot more money than anyone who works for the panthers outside of maybe gettleman and the players. But yah he sucks. No real way around it. Literally anyone else would have been better
  11. i do recall not liking the signing when they made it, yes. hes just not good. even in a passing only role I dont want him. realistically, as a TE, he will do a lot of blocking no matter what.
  12. meh, why sign a TE who cant block, then ask him to block? the #2 TE in our scheme will always have to block a lot. he is a "receiving TE" with shoddy hands and an inability to block.
  13. i dont think most people realize how much you are hurt by having well below average players on the field. you can have all the great players you want, but a few just horrible players screw up everything. we have had far too many of those recently. simply mediocre players arent that hard to come by cason + decoud absolutely crushed our defense at the beginning of last season. you could say the same about horton, bell, chandler, white (i think he can turn it around, was injured last year). they were all pretty awful last year. dickson, dwan and cole were well below average as well, though they werent so bad they hurt us a great deal.
  14. Oher is the Antoine Cason of Offensive Tackles. NO upside. lots of downside.
