That's fine, I was going to try to get them back via free agency anyway, but based on how much free agents go for in previous seasons I thought I might be able to get them cheaper. Heyward is in the option year on his contract so an extension is probable. Not saying I don't want those guys on the team, based on the rules of the game it seems logical to try to get them cheaper or find better value options. Timmons was only cut because I didn't think I could get Roethlisberger cheaper than $18.

Cortez Allen was one of the bottom 5 CB's in the league last season when he was healthy. Cam Thomas isn't worth the $2 price tag when I could get the same thing for $1. The only questionable cuts are Timmons, who I may be able to get for less than $9, and Heyward, who I went back and forth on, but decided he wasn't worth $6. The comment about no organization cleaning house is true, I will settle for renegotiating Roethlisberger, Timmons, and Heyward instead, but I didn't know that was an option. Hard to fix holes at OLB, CB and S with $2. Someone had to be cut, just trying to play by the rules.

Sorry, I don't know why I read total cap number, Just curious why not factor in the actual dead cap money and cap savings figures. And with this method it looks like we are using whole numbers. Is everything being rounded down? Say I cut three guys at $3.4, $4.4 and $0.3.
