Cautious optimism. We haven't been able to really evaluate the offense as fans outside of the ol because Bryce has been so fuging bad. We're gonna see what we have across the board (finally).
-
Well good. I just want emotion out of the guy. Football is a game of emotion. This humble stoicism just doesn't work for me from team leaders. Give me real

I know it's a taste thing, but goddamn I wish Bryce would just say it like "I played like poo. I've got to improve a lot and I will be. I want to be the future here and I've got to earn that back". All this "I leave it to God, I can only control what I can control" poo is fuging nauseating

Panthers need to move on from Young ASAP

Or 4) we keep him as emergency QB until we get our newly drafted QB and then we sacrifice him to the blood God for assurance of that newly drafted QB working out. -

That's absolutely best case scenario, but it's us we're talking about. We'll trade him with picks to move up to the 2nd or we'll go straight up for a 4th or some goofy poo. Lol. Bryce really fuged us. Goddamn what a bad pick -

If you keep Bryce all season, which I think you do, your plan is either 1) let him compete again next summer for the job or 2) move him before or the night of the draft. The former is dumb, I feel we know what Bryce is at this level, and the latter is probably gonna be wishful thinking. Tape is out on him, nobody is giving value for him straight up. Could be a pot sweetener with a 3rd though -
It's time to unleash Dalton. No more dink and dunk.

Really excited for Andy and for us. We'll see a functioning offense with an actual NFL qb. I have no expectations of us looking like a threat, but goddamn we may just look competitive. I'll fuging take that -
The scary part is that Bryce looks, at best, as bad as he was last year. At worst he has regressed. You expect rookies to struggle, but you expect their second year they'll take steps and show clear signs of improvement. We've not gotten that. The run game is there, but it gets shut down the moment the pass game is utterly useless. They can just focus on stopping that and pressuring because Young can't see and he can't make good decisions with the ball. Bryce being this bad this early in year 2 is writing on the wall. I'm convinced that Canales is under clear orders to either start Bryce no matter what or he has a number of games he must start Bryce in. No coach worth his salt is sticking with Bryce after these two games.

I think Young needs a sports psychologist…..
lightsout replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's simply not an NFL caliber QB. There's no psychologist that is going to fix him. Physically, he is not capable. Mentally, possibly, he is not capable. Not to say he's dumb, but I don't think he can process NFL defenses consistently. Bryce needs to be benched as of today. He is QB 2 until the end of his contract or we trade him to a sucker willing to gamble. Bryce can't play. He looks worse than Clausen and I honestly didn't think that would be possible. -
Bryce is done. I'm done until we've moved past him. It's bad when CS Pro League is more entertaining to me than the NFL. I'll watch competitive video games and not be mad. Easier life.

That's a fumble all day. He caught and cradled it and turned to look upfield. That's always a fumble. Jesus Christ.

I landed on the pixel 9 pro XL. It's ordered, hoping I'll have it in hand Saturday. After holding it in store, the build quality is better than the 2XL and 7 pro for sure. But I'll have to see how it performs out of the box once I get it

My pixel watch is used primarily to track my sleep and secondarily to see my texts and calls handsfree.
-
I dig the Pixel line. I've kinda always enjoyed having something few others around me have, and almost everybody I know is rocking a Samsung or iPhone. Hell, I used a Motorola for a few years at one point and was pleased with it until the battery started lasting like, 7 hours.
-
We are the same person I think. My wife thinks iPhones are easier to use and I just don't see it. Then again, she can't navigate a windows pc so. I enjoy Samsung phones when I've had them. I'm pretty heavily invested into the google ecosystem but I'm trying to break it up a touch (I use edge which is still chrome based but I use bing which can be .. interesting at times).
-
That is straight fire though. Foldable touch screen is pretty sick, one of my supervisors has one and enjoys it. It did finally break but it got replaced fairly quickly and it went a good while before having any issues at all.
-
Rivera offenses were more exciting than ours. Not even just because of Cam either. They functionally were more interesting to watch.

So I'm in the market to replace my Pixel 7 Pro, which I've enjoyed but the flashlight stopped working and my kids cracked the screen. I already replaced it once because it got lodged in my lawn mowers motor housing (don't ask how, still not certain) and melted half a corner off. I had an s21 but dropped it from a scissor lift to concrete. Was fine until then, except the battery life. So my dilemma is going to the Pixel 9 Pro vs s24+. Anybody have anything to say between these two?

It's wise in the event that you're ever in a rut. Say the offense is stagnant, you're in the late part of the third quarter, coach might say "fug it, let somebody else call this drive" and boom it works. Doesn't mean anybody gets demoted or promoted or anything, but it could lead to a fresh perspective and new plays that maybe you weren't considering that somebody else sees.

I'm firmly in my desire for Matt Reeves Bat-verse continuation and having a proper DC universe set in the tone of the comics in the last 20 years. Serious with characters having personality that break that darkness and lighten it in moments. Not cheaply done like in The Flash but done with some care. Marvel jumped the shark and seem to be floundering trying to get their bearings. As stated, nobody gives a damn about the characters anymore.
-
It's ok guys. They're hiding the real offense. You'll see in week 1! They don't want to expose the actual playbook! We all collectively pray as we lay our heads down tonight

Preseason is for talent evaluation. There's two fuging series before regular season that really matter. It's fine.

Xavier Legette left practice early with lower leg injury
lightsout replied to PantherBoy95's topic in Carolina Panthers
Leg injuries have nothing to do with the GM. -
The difference is Smitty when he was here was different from Smitty now. Now he's throwing knowledge and isn't emotionally tied to it. Back then, I could see him trying to help a guy and if he didn't get it, getting pissed because he realized he'd have to carry the load longer because his help is trash.

A rookie isn't NFL caliber day one?! This is unprecedented! It's not as if the organization has millions invested in training and coaching to improve his athleticism and skill or something. Throw him away, he's useless. Am I doing it right?
