  1. Hey folks, swing by and give the guy a subscribe. Once he gets 1,000 he can monetize the channel and from there all kinds of good things can happen.
  2. Figuratively, anything could happen with this season. Might as well tune in, cheer for the team and enjoy hope for as long as we have it. That's football. And, yeah, sometimes hope only lasts until that first game, partway through the first quarter. And then sometimes they send in some nobody back up QB who'd never got a shot before and he wins that game. And then he goes on to march the team to a Super Bowl. I mean, lightning could strike twice.
  3. Was sooooo ready to argue this but, nah I think you've got it. Maybe Delhomme/Cam ... both completely different QBs, both had their ways, one the superior (maybe one of the most superior in NFL history) athletes, the other guy was just grit and heart and belief. But yeah, you nailed it.
  4. Not sure, but it was just one of the chinks in the armor that wore him down, I'm sure.
  5. I just keep flashing back to Cam getting injured on a pre-season game blitz versus the Patriots.
  6. Okay, the fellow screaming at the practice facility... someone needs to get him some assistance. Really.
  7. Good luck on the YouTube channel man. Gave you a like and a subscribe! It takes time to build it up but just keep cranking out the videos and learn along the way. One day you will see a number of views that will just completely blow your mind. It happens.
  8. Was just about to put this in there. The kid looked like the real deal that first year and then into the second for a bit. Then he got injured and he never was the same again. I was never sure if it was a lingering injury or if it just knocked the grit out of him. Really had high hopes for him after he and Moose had that great season after Smitty got injured.
  9. Remember back in the days when both Fox and Rivera had the mantra that you tried to win preseason games also, because you needed to teach a team that winning is the most important thing. Now it seems that we're only teaching how to keep your job and play not to get hurt. We've been missing something for a few years now. Backbone.
  10. I think our two least talked about, and possibly most important, organizational groups are our scouts and our medical training staff. Recent years have shown how poorly both groups have performed and how it has hurt the overall team. Maybe it's time to take an axe to both and restart those programs?
  11. I agree wholeheartedly here. And with RBs being de-valued in the draft, it makes it much easier to snag a top end RB. But back to the cornerback thing... are we still looking? I think we've been unsettled at CB for, well, since that last SB run.
  12. Nostalgia's a lot like that.
  13. The milk was spilt a long time ago. Time to quit crying about who we once were. We need, desperately, to find who we will be. Once upon a time, Steve Smith, Sr. was just some snot-nosed kid with a chip on his shoulder that stuck around in training camp long enough to be a punt returner. Once upon a time, Jake Delhomme was trying to keep the bills paid while driving for UPS and pinning his hopes on an NFLEurope opportunity in Amsterdam. Once upon a time some of our greats were nobodies. We need that magic again. And soon.
  14. You are missed @Mr. Scot! Hope everything goes well for you and you recover completely. Prayers sent up for you and yours!
  15. Eddie is what you want from your kicker. They are meant to grab three points for you when your team bogs down between the 20 and 35 yard lines. And he does that magnificently. And they are meant to seal the seven for you on touchdowns. Those shots from 50+ are always a pull the team out of the fire thing and he's decent there, even good. A team that can boast about their kicker hitting multiple kicks from 57-63 yards each season isn't telling the full story... that their offenses bog down and their defenses aren't strong enough to make something from pinning the opponent inside the five with a good punt. You get a guy like Eddie on your team, you sign the contract and keep him comfortable while you work on the rest of the team.
  16. Yanno, Eddie has been really good for us and if we actually got him more work, that'd be great. Right now, at least, the kicker and punter are the least of this team's worries. And last year, they were probably the only weapons the team had in the bag. I'm so hopefully for a better season this time around. The bar that has been set is not very high at all to show improvement.
  17. We looked like it was the first game of the preseason in a downpour and that we were the worst team in the NFL last season with a new head coach AND that we were sitting all of our starters. In other words, that was slow and disappointing. A slop fest. A real showing of how there is no depth on the offensive line as of yet and that we had some very bad drafts over the past few years. Maybe we can see something next game. Something. Anything. Please.
  18. It's a pre-season match up of the two worst teams in the league from last year. One team will look much better than it actually is and one team will look exactly as bad as it is. Still, that's my team and that's what I'll be watching tonight. Unless it's called on account of weather.
  19. The Dolphins and Cowboys both let a guy they knew walk for what is a bargain price for a starting center... Wonder why if that was what they could have had him for. Perhaps they know something.
