This is an occasion where nobody giving a crap about the WNBA may actually work in favor of one of its players.

Would rather get them later in the year when they've already given up. Of course, if I was going on the road trip I would probably feel differently.

Will our cap wealth next season change Gettleman?
tondi replied to PanthersUnited's topic in Carolina Panthers
Especially when two of those guys are going to cost 25-30 million right out of the gate. Once you allow for this draft class and next years draft class suddenly that 70 million is more like 30 million and we still need to resign a bunch of those other guys on your list. -
Boom goes the dynamite.
-
Not a fan of the guy but its hard to be against bringing him in on a deal like this where he doesn't cost much and we can cut him with zero cap impact at any time.

Guy is clearly auditioning for ESPN where hating on the Panthers is a prerequisite

Rivera would like to see Cam signed long-term before 2015 season

What's he supposed to say? Any other response would have been newsworthy, but not this one. -
Media has convinced men that pretty much every basic instinct they possess is wrong in order to feminize them into good little docile pussies. The reasons for this are pretty obvious.

Mads the wrong word. I would be somewhat confused or surprised or whatever. However, if we are committed to being a running team we definitely need another stud in the backfield with Stewart being unlikely to play all 16 games. If DG thinks this guy can be a good/great player on a reasonable contract for the next few years then I would certainly be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. One could certainly make a compelling argument that our backup RB will touch the ball a minimum of 10-12 times a game which is almost certainly more than any WR we would draft.

More people will have health related issues that will eventually lead to their premature demise from sitting on their ass for hours at a time every day playing video games than from playing football. Life is full of things that will ultimately kill you. If people want to play football or engage in literally hundreds of other activities that may ultimately at some point have a negative impact on their lives then so be it. Acting like playing football is going to automatically equate to some kind of CTE death sentence is absurd to anyone who isn't a moron. Of course we all know the media would never sensationalize something just for the hell of it, now don't we?

If either team signs him to a big money deal we couldnt have afforded anyway then so be it but if he signs some sweetheart prove himself deal we could have afforded it will suck.

Hate the Cowboys but good for them for giving the league and media the middle finger and possibly signing a guy who will make them better. Too bad we don't have that luxury.

At least Oher has, at some point in his career, been an above average player. I don't suppose it would hurt to offer him a minimum contract but he can probably get that offer from most team so theres no reason to believe he would come here.

Definitely a glass half full perspective.

Going to be a run on vicodin down on the bayou.

That's crazy!!

I think its a net positive for us. Saints are going to take a step back so winning the division should be easier. The road to the SB still goes through Seattle either way and we've proven we know how to handle Graham already so fug them.

Worth a shot for the right price.

We can still cut him when it becomes necessary. No real harm in keeping him around til the final cuts happen.

I sighed as well.

Mini Thor is no more. -
I've got no problem with it if we didn't overpay.

D Will says Panthers didn't reach out to him when his mother died
tondi replied to QCkilla's topic in Carolina Panthers
Most people who work for a livings bosses don't attend their parents funeral with the big difference being that their boss also doesn't give them tens of millions of dollars they never earned. Poor poor Deangelo had to bury his mother with his only his family present. If he wasn't such a whiny little bitch he might stop to consider just why nobody else on the team volunteered to be around him in a non team situation where they weren't required to do so. Other than because they are all cold heartless SOB's and that he's some kind of poor put upon victim, of course.
