Personally I felt the Canes played much better than in the Boston series losses. Igor really is the only reason they were able to pull that one off. If we play the same way tonight I feel good about our chances. Raanta is just fine IMO.

I was at the car/seachickens playoff game and the 2015 nfc championship game and I will say the atmosphere was great. I think the close confines of PNC arena make the difference. Little more up close and personal. Plus hockey is essentially non stop action. Tension builds until goals/big hits etc. Great time to be a Canes fan!! Let's go canes! Hopefully soon we'll begin to have that "winning culture" Tepper talks about with the Panthers as well!

Not what we needed for sure...but the boys had ample opportunity to close them out...dropping three on the road, it was a sad affair last night . No choice now but to leave it all on the ice! In the words of the famous Ked Woodley "DOMINATE THE FOE"

I'd like to blame it on the ice...but Boston played on the same ice. Although I do agree there were a ton weird bounces... Canes just looked a step behind. Their top line had space they didn't have in PNC. Can't give the rat and his cohorts room to work.

Anderson really didn't look great last night...Hope it's not a continuing trend! 4-5 WL in the last nine isn't great. Although to his credit the defense seemed slow too, can't allow wide open looks at the net. Hopefully Rod can get them back into some sort of rhythm before round 1.

He looks like the real deal...absolutely stands on his head at times. Relatively small sample size but looks good so far.

Can't wait to see this kid play on the NHL level. Been following him loosely since he was drafted. Last two years his KHL numbers basically mirror or better Vasilevskiy.....

Surely you can't be serious? Canes are one of the few dominant teams in the NHL...have been for 3 years. Already have one championship and will contend for another this year but the Hornets who may contend for a ship in 4 years are going to eclipse them? Full disclosure I'm a Hornets fan too! They're fun to watch again finally.

Hard to pay a guy 8-9 mil a year when he's a liability at times. With that said there isn't anyone out there that can match the offensive zone production. hard to say "win now mode" and let him and Ned walk.
