    That doesn't really add up. He was incredibly critical of the current roster, the attitude, character, everything. Sounds like he got the job because he wasn't on board with past personnel decisions, and Dave sees now that Dan was right.

    More speculation and I didn't count but Morgan described the type of football players he's looking for a dozen times or so. That description sounded a lot more like Stroud than Young. He might be where he is because Dave knows Dan was right.

    Remains to be seen but there were plenty of opportunities to mention Burns as an example if they planned on giving him the mega contract he's looking for. I'd guess he's gone.

    Not sure about Burns specifically, but he was as clear as he could be that the roster isn't remotely close to good enough. Not just talent, but character. Pretty scathing really. Good.

    He's not a perfect person. Don't care. It might not work. What matters is there's a chance it will. Hindsight maybe but there was no chance Rhule or Reich would be the guy.

    I thought that was super candid. He said we need "dawgs" on the team. Canales nodded. Need those type of players "again." Need the logo to be feared "again." No BS like we "need to build" blah blah. Promising.

    Sure that's ideal but not reality. The vast majority of 1st round QBs bust. If it doesn't work, you move on.

    The organization has not earned the benefit of the doubt, but neither has this forum. Every Morgan is a "yes man" or "part of the problem" post encourages me about his abilities.

    Actually sensible. Let's at least see his first couple of moves before dismissing him as a yes man, etc.

    100% agree. Almost no talent on the roster. It's measured, long term rebuild time.

    Yeah we are going to be last in the South next year regardless of who the HC is. The ceiling will be to be score some points, maybe even 20+ here or there and win 3 or 4. Winning the division is laughable.

    Purdy is in the absolute ideal situation for any QB. Otherwise he's Bridgewater. Maybe I'm wrong. We'll see soon enough.

    Yeah and Purdy is limited. Lives on screens and quick outs that go for 40.

    Thing is, it doesn't matter who plays QB for us next season. We won't be competitive. 3, maybe 4 win ceiling. Our best QB by a long way for one more ride? Hell yeah I'm in.

    Just because you have a job as a GM or NFL personnel guy doesn't mean you're good at it. No surprise that there are plenty of geniuses in retrospect. Definitely a mistake, but one that 80%+ of these dudes would have made.
