Got high hopes for this guy. -
Brown has been absolutely awful I must say. You guys wonder why guys like Bersin and Cotchery get to stay on the team? Because they actually catch the ball. It is sad really, because he is doing a great job in putting himself in position to beat the corner. He has been getting open and slight separation. He just isn't bringing the ball in.

Our offense is going to ride on the tail of a healthy jstew. Nothing to worry about folks. -
275 lbs? Good luck playing tackle in the nfl.

TD's hit on the niners RB (Gore?) to cause that fumble in our low scoring 2013 affair was pretty vicious. -
Amazing how quickly we are to start badmouthing the team's all-time leading rusher just like last year when we did it to our all-time leading receiver. Speaking of that I just looked up our all-time leading rushers. In a few years Cam Newton is going to be #3 on that list. I'm gonna miss Deangelo. Of course I know him leaving was better for the team, but I had a sentimental attachment to him as a Panther. Was one of my favorite players in college and I had completely assumed there was no way were going to even consider a runningback in that draft. Low and behold, I came back home late from work on draft day to see he was our selection... I freaked haha. I was one of the people who thought he should have won the Heisman over Vince Young and Reggie Bush.

I might be the only person on this board based on the threads to have taken the crown in ff from the guy who had obj in the championship. And i did it with cam and kb (and a host of other great players)

A victim? It's perfectly normal for police to talk to everyone involved in someone's life when it ends in a horrifying way. They aren't just looking to talk with people to label them suspects, it is entirely possible people close to the real victim have some knowledge or can provide some evidence to find out who was responsible,

Thats what the draft is all about, landing prospects with the most NFL potential. The Golden Calf of Bristol and Manziel are two of the most productive college players in history, but they aren't cut out for the NFL.
-
I didn't want to draft Cam. Not because of character concerns but because I thought he'd have serious difficulty making NFL caliber throws. The improvement of his mechanics between the national championship and OTAs was astronomical though. Whitfield and Weinke did wonderful work with him.

So we can give steve smith a bajillion chances as a grown, multimillionaire adult (who never improved his attitude) but there is ZERO chance of us even considering a guy who made some bad decisions in his early college and has ACTUALLY shown significant improvement? I remember a certain uber-athletic laptop thief with character concerns all over the place. You sit down with him, you talk, you try to do your best to see what kind of person they want to become. You talk with their coaches, teammates and family and see what the prospect has been doing to set things straight. If we pass on DGB because he seems like a lost cause that won't get his head on perfectly straight, that is perfectly fine. Not doing him his due diligence seems a bit silly to me though.

Even more hilarious is using the 40 to test an olinemans speed. If any olinemen is running 40 yards you either have a bad decision by the qb or the oline is blowing huge holes open. The game isnt played in your underwear. Rice proved that. Jerrys 40 time was pretty bad, but he was faaaassssst.
