  1. no, i don't dance around it and roll down hills in it
  2. mine comes up to my chin i think when standing and is as high as my knee when laying. its a bitch to flip and tears my forearms all to hell very similar to this one:
  3. i just now saw this. i'll take pictures tomorrow. that's just what i found them listed as weighing online, tbh i have no idea what it really weighs. its tough to flip because of its weight and size.
  4. lol i'm still a young buck. i'm not saying i'll be doing it in the next 6 months, but if i really got out there and focused on it i think i could its a 12 ply 20.5-25 front end loader tire, most places said 650 so that's what i'm going with. it might only be 500.
  5. eventually, hopefully. once i can flip that tire 20 times without stopping i'll have to move on up the guy that gave it to me was deadlifting it
  6. i still think that would flex too much unless i capped it
  7. need something stronger than rebar i'm pretty sure its about 650 lbs
  8. nope. not sure what to make them out of. just rope? bar? gonna have to be something i can stand in the middle of the tire and lift
  9. the tire i have to flip, i have to use my fingers to grip the treads, and that seriously got to a couple of muscles in my forearm. for about a week anytime i lifted something heavy it felt like my forearms were gonna snap like a twig so i had to slack off too feel your pain guys
  10. i'm still not good enough to do double unders. i can skip, high step, scissor and one foot. sweating does not indicate the impact of your workout anyway.
  11. Then you push harder and longer. or get a weighted vest
  12. the thing about jumping rope is you can mix it up with anything. pushups, mountain climbers, pull ups, curls, whatever is handy. if you really want to burn fat, and you're already in good shape, try 30 seconds on the rope, 30 seconds of mountain climbers, a 30 yard sprint followed by a 30 second rest until you throw up. shouldn't take more than 10 times. i still can't get through but about 6 of those and i'm done.
  13. 986 calories burned: Running at 8mph 913 calories burned: Rollerblading 730 calories burned: Tae Kwon Do 730 calories burned: Jump rope 657 calories burned: Stair treadmill 584 calories burned: Jogging at 5mph 511 calories burned: Backpacking 511 calories burned: Racquetball 511 calories burned: Cross-country skiing 511 calories burned: High-impact aerobics This list is why I got serious about skipping rope.
  14. gold's gym right? you sure you're not at planet fitness?
  15. yeah but at our age we really have to start looking out for ourselves. i wonder if it forces you to curve your back more for a reason...?
  16. seems like they both do the same thing to me. just one is safer to push yourself on. working out isn't supposed be comfortable!
