    Definitely needs to learn to hang onto his stick. And his aggressiveness is going to lead to some awesome saves but some mild heart attacks too. I'm excited for more!

    I asked Walt Ruff on Twitter if he could help solve the mystery. He responded that he will look into it and see what he can find out. It makes sense that he would be listed larger in pre-draft reports since he is from Russia.

    One thing I notice is his height is all over the map. The Wolves roster lists him at 6'0 and I've seen different profiles list him all over from 6'1 - 6'4.

    Don't disagree but I highly doubt that he sees the NHL this season at all.

    Not likely to see the bigs this season and that's a good thing. They want to give him some time to get used to the game on North America. Also, the Canes are a legit Cup contender and need to win every game we can to make the playoff route the "easiest" possible.

    Agreed. I've followed him closely as well and hoping he's our next franchise goalie. Along with what you've mentioned, it's also normal for young goalies from overseas to get at least a full season in North America to get used to the ice and style of play. I'm really hoping he comes over for good next season but we'll see.

    And that's a fair argument. To be honest, I REALLY like Cross. But if we think Armstead can be healthy (big IF), it's also very intriguing to have something like Armstead + Linderbaum/Ekonwu + additional draft pick instead of only Cross.

    So was Trent Williams and the same exact argument was made on him on this same message board. Now everyone is mad we didn't sign him. Matt Kalil was never good even before he signed. That's the difference.

    Signing Armstead would make a ton of sense from a strictly personnel standpoint. Proven LT that pushes BC inside. Allows you to trade down and pick up more draft capital and could very likely still come away with a guy like Linderbaum or Ekonwu. I would be surprised if we sign a LT to draft a QB.

    One thing is for sure - Jarvis can definitely generate some dangerous offensive chances.

    Definitely interested in seeing how Jarvis and Drury look. Still thinking Drury makes the club and Jarvis will get a look for 2 weeks or however long they are allowed before the first year of his ELC is burned. But seems like he is making it a tough decision for them.

    Horn as top 5 of the worst graded player on defense? What a joke. If his arm is 3 inches higher (or lower...can't remember) on that TD pass he absolutely shuts down his man all game and even had a couple good plays on run D. I normally like PFF but they missed the mark big time on this game.

    He was definitely bad today and that's tough for me to say. Not sure why Brady didn't get called in once Elflein went down either.

    This is what I expect as well. And that's a lot of skill in that top 6. I could really see KK and Necas developing a lot of chemistry.

    And now Montreal is trading a 1st and 2nd for a 25 year old center from Arizona who has yet to score 40 points. That alone easily justifies the trade compensation for Kotkaniemi. Then, like I said before, the overpay in $ is what it took to force the trade through. What a shrewd move by the Canes.

    It's official. Just announced by the official account of the Canadiens - they Are NOT matching.

    Today is the day. We'll find out if we have a new winger (and lose a 1st and 3rd next year) or if we screwed over Montreal.
