Thielen is quickly moving up the charts as one of my favorite WRs of all time. So darn savvy.

Just here to say I almost placed my first bet today because I was so sure we were going to get beat by 3 times the spread. Let's fuggin' go!

Let's play "I could be a better GM than Scott Fitterer"
bigjohn replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Easy to play this game in hindsite. If you were Fitty, what would you do now and going forward? -
At least we didn't throw 37 bubble screens today.
-
If we had a true #1 WR, Thelien would just be nuts as a #2. Such a savvy vet.

And then the next play got to 1 second.

If I hadn't been fishing a tournament the last 3 out of 4 days and wasn't totally exhausted, I'd be out on the water now instead of watching this paint dry offense. Getting ready to rewatch Breaking Bad for the 5th time just so I can see excellence in action.

This upcoming score is on Miles. Gahhhhh

Credit where it's due-- that was a nice couple play calls down in the red zone.

I was very excited for the Reich era, even though I wanted Wilks to get a shot. I was fairly excited for the Rhule era, even though I liked Rivera. My excitement will be very tempered no matter who comes next.

One thing I’ve noticed a few times so far this season is when Bryce escapes the rush and is looking downfield, our receivers never seem to break back to the ball. Besides lack of separation on standard routes, it looks like there is no instinct there either. Not a great combination. Several times you see Bruce motioning a receiver to come back or break.

On the bright side, my Sundays are looking to be wide open for some fantastic fall fishing.
-
On the good hand, we can sure sniff out a wide receiver screen because we see them 20 times a day in practice I'm sure

I'm not the analyst that some of you guys are, but I think they are going to throw it to Jefferson.

D'Shawn Robinson murdering Kirk Cousins on the pick-6

Had him targeted from the 20! Love it! -
Would love to see some receivers get separation....

I checked in just to see the overreaction of the Huddle. (Would have if we were up 14 as well). As always, the Huddle does not disappoint.

23-20, Panthers win on a late field goal with Bryce leading us on the game winning drive to put us in range. Sanders gets 120 on the ground. Bryce throws for 240, spreading the ball around. Burns with two sacks and Fitterrrrerrrrrr decides he should have made the deal yesterday to save some money. Half the huddle declares Super Bowl, the other half declares the season a bust since we only beat a shitty team by a field goal.

How many teams that needed a QB passed on Howell?

A little preseason "behind the scenes" info
bigjohn replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah I’ve laughed about this preseason stuff. When I coached high school basketball, we tried to play people better than us in the summer, tried different player combinations, put backups in against starters, played guys out of position…. Anything we could to prep for the season. One year we went like 2-9 in the summer, including a couple games blowing big leads (because little Johnny Turnover got his chance in the second half)… we ended up winning the conference that year. So as long as you have your guys, great time to look at individual matchups, decide who can play, what schemes fit, get some stuff on film and go for real when it counts. -
Official Lions at Panthers damn it's hot out GameDay thread

Not a CJ fan but goodness that was a bad call. Officials need some preseason work too. -

We have ourselves a franchise QB. -

Dude talking trash that isn't even wearing pads. Punk. -
Water hot as fire, not good. Supposedly El Nino makes for more wind shear which isn't favorable for hurricane development. Goodness I hope not. We just moved to the coast last fall, had a hurricane the day after we moved in.
