Being able to pick your own GM?

I would in the sense of doing genuine damage to people being worse than just screwing up a football team. Now, if we're sticking solely to the realm of football mismanagement, Tepper is arguably an elite in that department, inferior to Snyder only in that he hasn't done it for quite as long as Snyder did.

I didn't see enough of the game to judge how Lamar (or Andrews, for that matter) did overall. For the parts I saw, Jackson was good and Andrews was...well Did see that after the game, Jackson was pissed. (and apparently still cold)

Dysfunction? Yes. Corruption? No. Snyder had it all. And for all the (legit) talk about how lousy a job Tepper has done, there hasn't been any sort of scandal that I can recall. Mind you, as soon as I say that...

More from Albert Breer on that front... I think OC Ben Johnson is much more ready to take a job now than he was the past couple of years. I don’t know if losing the way Detroit did might lure him back for one last run with Campbell, but I do know his interest in the Las Vegas Raiders, Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars jobs is real—and Newmark’s emergence as a GM candidate with the Raiders is proof positive of how serious Johnson is (Tom Brady’s been a difference-maker in Vegas’s pursuit). Link: MMQB I said the same thing about the emotion of the loss possibly causing Johnson to go back for one more year, but most of the chatter seems to be saying that's not gonna happen.

There's some speculation that Ben Johnson might want to trade for Hendon Hookernif he picks the Raiders. All speculation of course, but not out of the question.

Fowler is legit. If you had asked me prior to yesterday, I'd have said I think he's going back. All indications now though or that he will take one of the available jobs. If it's true that he doesn't want to face Dan Campbell twice a year, then the Jaguars seem like the most logical choice but who knows?
