Dan Campbell has a condition called Ballus Maximus.

Antonio Brown responds in typical Antonio Brown fashion...

I'm not even giving thought to what he used to be. Doesn't honestly concern me. What he is now and what he's going to be over the next few years are my focus.

Dividing it into what I can say and what I can't say... Can say: The Bryce Young We saw for the better part of this year was damn good and deserves to be leading this team next season. Can't say (yet)... Bryce Young is a franchise quarterback who should be the quarterback of this team for the next decade. It's not guaranteed that I'll be able to make that second statement in the future... ...but it is possible.

Like when Phil Snow supposedly had the second best defense in the NFL...

A lot of the NFL coaching carousel is finding out whether guys who are really good at one skill set can also be good at another. You wind up learning that some guys are just always gonna be better off as coordinators or position coaches.
-
Yeah, that's a big disadvantage

Didn't we start off the season with one of theae type players on roster? Hill is obviously a more talented version, but basically the same prototype.
-
It didn't work that well for me when I tried it
-
This is an accurate take. I had a similar thought, my phraseology being "As of this moment, Bryce finally looks like the the guy we thought we had drafted".

Just as a general observation, I do think Dave Canales and Dan Morgan have done a good job creating and fostering an atmosphere that players want to be part of. That can be important.

I haven't got the details yet but apparently there's some story out there about a female Fox Sports personality banging every guy in the building So far today, a fair amount of the sports news isn't actually about sports

From what I remember, Wash has a pretty good reputation. I think he's even been a coordinator before. I'd have to look him up again to be certain but that's how I remember it.

Elsewhere in the sports world, this story from our "holy sh-t" department... https://x.com/byajperez/status/1875985591512560091?t=VZm-4U9efhjS4CsALeBXRg&s=19

My top barometer on Bryce right now is actually Lady Cowboy Fan. She's been a very big critic for most of his career to date but watching him over the last several games she's said to me "You guys might just have something there." That's more encouragement than I've had in a while, so I'll take it
-
Which one? (gotta say it feels really good that I'm able to say that in reaction to the thread title)
-
Not a fan, but I think it's important that Canales have control of his staff.
-
Potentially interesting... https://x.com/CalebGoatQB1/status/1875961777445584964?t=xNauBHVYQSHdMvrOc6WjXg&s=19 Poles calls Lions OC Ben Johnson a "brilliant play caller" but says that what the Bears need is a "leader of men". May very well just be posturing, but it could be that's the profile of what the Bears want in a head coach.

Damn

Rap Sheet says the next Jags coach will report directly to the owner, not Baalke. https://x.com/AdamSchefter/status/1876266146153783763?t=bb7vlNdELH6lRw-X1E0KGg&s=19 Not sure that does anything to take the stink of Baalke off the job...

Starting off with a couple of no brainers (Bears requesting both Lions coordinators) https://x.com/TomPelissero/status/1876265032662851650?t=peov8_LkpO7ABKBKnSZhPw&s=19 Jets, Bears and Saints have also asked about Glenn. https://x.com/AdamSchefter/status/1876266146153783763?t=bb7vlNdELH6lRw-X1E0KGg&s=19 Expect the Lions coordinators to be popular; have seen some speculation that Aaron Glenn might be a good choice for the Saints...

Mike Jackson expresses a desire to stay out of gratitude to Dave Canales... https://x.com/GabeMcDonald_/status/1876074174709457357?t=kN8mOVBEk6kMuPEgK7GDEA&s=19
