  1. Haven't seen Jeff Scott's name before, have we?
  2. We've had a couple of different reporters ask people around the league to rank desirability of working for the Panthers as GM or head coach. In all cases, we've pretty much universally been named as the least desirable destination. We are going to convince somebody to take the job of course, but I'd stop short of saying it'll be because We look like anything close to a great opportunity.
  3. Feels like Tepper's gonna try something "new and hip and edgy" again
  4. Jones worked at SI for a while before moving to CBS Sports...
  5. I'd take a personnel scout over an analytics guy ten times out of ten.
  6. While I prefer new blood, if the other GM candidates are all analytics guys, I'd just keep Morgan.
  7. Figure Mark Brunell as an OC candidate. I did some research on what a Johnson staff might look like last year. I'd have to dig it up.
  8. It's probably fair to say The Athletic is doing a better job of what used to distinguish Sports illustrated. SI has still done some big stuff in recent years. Their coverage helped bring attention and detail to both the Jerry Richardson and Deshaun Watson stories, among others.
  9. Harbaugh basically created a system to minimize his limitations. He was never that good.
  10. Yeah, I wasn't familiar with it. But then as I was looking through the collection I found my first one. I think it was Cheryl Tiegs on the cover. My response, of course, was "WHOA! WHAT'S THIS?"
  11. I first got introduced to Sports illustrated when I was 10 or 11 years old. A neighbor who had been subscribed for years gave me his collection. I immediately started reading all the football articles. Good times...
  12. And unfortunately a lot of swimsuit models
  13. I think a lot of folks are pretty comfortable that this is happening
  14. He kinda was, though. A lot of what ended up going wrong started with the team interfering in his staff choices instead of just letting him hire whoever he wanted. To be clear, he made enough of his own mistakes that he deserve to be fired, but it's also true that he was set up to fail.
  15. Is that because David Tepper has learned his lesson or because he knows people think he's horse sh-t and he doesn't want to look even worse?
  16. Yeah, but we'll still hold on to him until all the good jobs anywhere else are taken
  17. As for my preference, it's dtill Ben Johnson... Second choice was Smith, now it's probably Callahan... Like Slowik a lot but worried it might be too soon... Could be okay with Canales and probably most of the others with the exception of Brian Johnson or Chris Tabor...
