  1. Marty didn't know sh-t about receivers. The one guy he can claim to have gotten right was heavily influenced by Norv Turner.
  2. If you're smart, it does. Our own people have stated numerous times that talking to the players is extremely important to what they do. That's why the pro days and visits and such are so valuable. Ask yourself which is better: knowing the pick soon or getting the pick right? They have until Draft Day to debate this if they do desire. And as long as they get it right, where's the problem if it takes till then to do so?
  3. From the behind the scenes stories of the search, yeah we do. What we don't know is if he'll continue.
  4. I seriously believe they say around and said, "we could take this guy, or this guy, maybe that guy if we do some more research on him". That's reasonable, and reports have said that's exactly what they're doing. The notion that they have to be settled on only one guy rather than two or three to do this has no basis in fact.
  5. See above Hell, if you read the story of the Cam Newton discussion, that decision wasn't made till pretty late in the process. And there's no Cam Newton in this draft.
  6. I've seen a lot of folks subscribe to that logic, but it's not really valid. You trade to be able to pick whoever you ultimately want, and in doing so this early they've given themselves plenty of time to decide that. The notion that they absolutely have to know right now is a fallacy.
  7. With none of their pro days or visits having happened, I suspect that's the real truth.
  8. Not free agency but big news nonetheless... Prepare to see Commanders fans dancing in the streets. (or shield your eyes to avoid the trauma)
  9. If he gets injured, retires or for whatever reason can't play anymore, it becomes hilarious
  10. I judge who Tepper is by how much he stays out of things. So far this offseason, he's doing pretty well.
  11. "Smart' referred to the Rooneys. As to the rest, yeah we'll see but I feel a lot more confident now than I did when we were run by King Matthew and his Knights of Baylor.
  12. One other thing I would add... When we were hearing and seeing that the "keep pounding" motto was being deemphasized, a lot of people thought Tepper was behind it. Now that we've had a chance to peek behind the scenes of the Rhule era, It appears our esteemed head coach had more to do with that, wanting to replace it with his own slogans and stuff like "The Brand". It is my sincere hope that anything related to The Brand or any other stuff that Rhule was trying to push has been forcefully excised from the stadium and grounds. Burn it all. Leave no traces...
  13. I remember watching him in the Senior Bowl before he was drafted. He was good.
  14. Not familiar with this guy but this is his suggestion... It's fairly close to things I've seen on The Huddle
  15. One thing I've observed since the new regime got put in place is that all our new arrivals learn to say "keep pounding' pretty quick.
  16. I'm sure Evero's review will play a big part in what they do with him.
  17. Not really fast enough to be an edge rusher. Don't know that he's good enough inside to be a 3-4 DE. Definitely a question mark...
  18. There are loads of indications that our offense this year could be very run heavy. That's a situation that makes a good run blocking tight end more valuable.
  19. They've been smart. Not being smart immediately isn't a bad thing as long as you can see it and admit it. The next step after those two things is to correct it. Tepper's in that process, at least.
