From a (mercifully) locked thread by the user: "My username is satire which I keep trying to explain (hence the blatant misspelling of his name) but the shitposters can’t read too well and certain words trigger them to post their absurdities and gets them all gussied up and red in the face lol. Fun times until the 27th for sure!" T'would appear somebody is full of sh-t

OFFICIAL: Bryce Young cancels remaining team visits
Mr. Scot replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
So, actually...not "done" -
As soon as either a) insiders stop reporting it or b) the draft is over. Till then...

We're reported to be open to trading out of #1...to #2.

Yep, and the trend is becoming to try and win with a quarterback on a rookie deal. That's not necessarily the best thing for the veterans. I think there'll be change at some point. It's just unclear what kind of change it'll be.

I wouldn't go that far, but it wouldn't surprise me for his agents to believe he's going either one or two. It'd be a reasonable assumption.

I don't know if a separate quarterback cap would work. I do know things like that have been proposed, as well as a cap percentage limit, excluding quarterbacks from the cap altogether and other suggestions. Feels like they need to do something, for sure. As it stands now, paying your franchise quarterback and protecting your franchise quarterback are becoming mutually exclusive propositions.

Saw that. Caserio got asked a lot of questions about the rumors that he's leaving. He answered them pretty much like you'd expect.

Stop having fun with this. It's rude

Don't know, but the Bengals (and more specifically Mike Brown) have a longstanding rep for being cheap.

True. Also, if he turns out to be a one year wonder or doesn't function the same without Shane Steichen calling the plays, this could be a disaster. We'll see.

I forget who said it, but I read not long ago that a lot of people were saying Jackson was "not the right guy" to be the focus of the fully guaranteed contract fight. It was argued that someone like Patrick Mahomes or Joe Burrow would be a better quarterback to lead that charge.

5 million more total and 46 million more guaranteed than was reported for Jackson's offer from the Ravens.
