  1. From a (mercifully) locked thread by the user: "My username is satire which I keep trying to explain (hence the blatant misspelling of his name) but the shitposters can’t read too well and certain words trigger them to post their absurdities and gets them all gussied up and red in the face lol. Fun times until the 27th for sure!" T'would appear somebody is full of sh-t
  2. Or a Panthers myth. If he's the pick, I hope for the former, but I also acknowledge the possibility of the latter.
  3. I'm fine with Young if he's the pick, but I think this stuff has gotten pretty stupid. Too many people are posting moronic sh-t just for the sake of being assholes. I might need to take some time away from here for a bit.
  4. As soon as either a) insiders stop reporting it or b) the draft is over. Till then...
  5. We're reported to be open to trading out of #1...to #2.
  6. Yep, and the trend is becoming to try and win with a quarterback on a rookie deal. That's not necessarily the best thing for the veterans. I think there'll be change at some point. It's just unclear what kind of change it'll be.
  7. I wouldn't go that far, but it wouldn't surprise me for his agents to believe he's going either one or two. It'd be a reasonable assumption.
  8. Granted that it could be. We just get so many fakers on here it's hard not to be skeptical. I could believe it if I saw her put a link to The Huddle on her Twitter mentioning her joining up. That'd leave no doubt.
  9. I don't know if a separate quarterback cap would work. I do know things like that have been proposed, as well as a cap percentage limit, excluding quarterbacks from the cap altogether and other suggestions. Feels like they need to do something, for sure. As it stands now, paying your franchise quarterback and protecting your franchise quarterback are becoming mutually exclusive propositions.
  10. Saw that. Caserio got asked a lot of questions about the rumors that he's leaving. He answered them pretty much like you'd expect.
  11. I'd agree. Heck, Jourdan Rodrigue, Alaina Getzenberg and Jon Alexander were all pretty good in the recent past. We've been doing pretty good in the reporting department.
  12. Don't know, but the Bengals (and more specifically Mike Brown) have a longstanding rep for being cheap.
  13. True. Also, if he turns out to be a one year wonder or doesn't function the same without Shane Steichen calling the plays, this could be a disaster. We'll see.
  14. I forget who said it, but I read not long ago that a lot of people were saying Jackson was "not the right guy" to be the focus of the fully guaranteed contract fight. It was argued that someone like Patrick Mahomes or Joe Burrow would be a better quarterback to lead that charge.
  15. 5 million more total and 46 million more guaranteed than was reported for Jackson's offer from the Ravens.
  16. Reich's press conference answers have consistently said two things: 1) He has a very high opinion of Bryce Young's ability 2) He considers Bryce Young's durability to be a quite legitimate concern
  17. I don't know about the Bleacher Report summary, but the Newton article was very good. Not specifying a favorite doesn't mean bad reporting, especially not at the choice isn't made yet.
