  1. 5 million more total and 46 million more guaranteed than was reported for Jackson's offer from the Ravens.
  2. Reich's press conference answers have consistently said two things: 1) He has a very high opinion of Bryce Young's ability 2) He considers Bryce Young's durability to be a quite legitimate concern
  3. I don't know about the Bleacher Report summary, but the Newton article was very good. Not specifying a favorite doesn't mean bad reporting, especially not at the choice isn't made yet.
  4. What king actually said about Young... This doesn’t mean anything on the surface, because the way “reporting” works this time of year, things that make sense get repeated and repeated and repeated and it all becomes one giant Insider Echo Chamber. But I didn’t hear anyone, in calls Friday through Sunday, who thinks the first pick won’t be Bryce Young. He may not be. I’m just telling you what’s out there.
  5. I like Sheena a lot. She's a very hardworking reporter who doesn't just chase every whim. She's done a great job over the last few years. And yes, she's taken some undeserved criticism on this forum. It's the nature of the job that things change and people mislead. You have to account for that with everyone. The "most reliable" title for me though goes to Joe Person. His work since joining The Athletic has been stellar. I'd also have to say the combo of Ellis Williams and Mike Kaye at The Observer is phenomenal.
  6. Newton's article was actually very good. I know that's unusual for a Newton article, but it's true.
  7. It's a fan poll. The Panthers aren't telling us anything. Hell, the Panthers wouldn't want to tell us anything. They'd be telling everybody else too.
  8. He didn't say it. As far as best fits, the analysts who I've seen take up the question have tended to say Stroud. The fact that he's worked much more under center than Young probably has something to do with that.
  9. Numerous mocks have had him #1 (including recent ones).
  10. I put the guys who cover the Panthers only above any national source.
  11. Are you positive the owner would even know it was happening? Other owners, maybe. Cal McNair? Not so sure of that.
  12. Albright is just guessing. Heck, he said so himself. The people who actually do have inside connections pretty much all say the final decision isn't made yet.
  13. Gantt has confirmed this...repeatedly. That's why I shake my head at scenarios that involve the decision already being made.
  14. There are rumors that Nick Caserio is leaving the Texans right after the draft. With that in mind, he may want to set them up well for the future...or he may want to screw them over. Depends on whether he's leaving on good terms or not. (and given how things have done the last few years, bad terms are definitely a possibility)
  15. Apparently... Might not be till we see what we get on Draft day.
  16. For the record, if a deal like this happens it might not be until the day of the draft, or maybe just a day or two before. Heaven knows draft day drama is a pretty common thing.
  17. I'm a believer in asking for the most ridiculous package you can as a start to negotiations
