Mentioned this before, and I'd imagine others may have thought about it as well... One of the most beloved players in our team history is a guy who was doubted and passed over repeatedly because his physical traits didn't match what people believed those of a prototypical NFL player ought to be. That's why there's a certain poetic intrigue to the team of Sam Mills becoming the team of Bryce Young. I can't say for certain whether Young will ever be as good or even as well thought of as Mills became, but if he's our pick tonight then obviously that's the kind of thing you want to see happen. The team of Sam Mills and "keep pounding" being led to glory by another seeming misfit (one who's even smaller than Mills was, mind you) would certainly be an incredible tale to tell. Here's hoping we get to see that story written

Per Joe Person in The Athletic.. Can't remember the name but as I recall, there was a well-known local guy whispering about the possibility of something like this just a few years back.

Fitterer said in one of his draft interviews that it was possible they might trade up, or that they might trade down, depending on the situation. I always appreciate the clarity he brings

Is Mayfield there on more than a one year deal (don't remember)? Either way, apparently the reason why Richardson is falling Is that personnel guys are having a hard time figuring out where he fits.

Always be patient. Never rush when there's no reason to.

And finally, Daniel Jeremiah... DJ is one of the few guys I've seen in the last 24 hours to have more than two quarterbacks in the top ten. Besides Young at #1, he's got Stroud second to the Texans and Levis going to the Colts with the fourth spot. What he does share with the others though is a belief that Richardson drops out of the top half of the round. He has him being picked 20th overall by Seattle.

The more I've thought about it, the more I think the pro scouting role he had before really might be the better option for him. One of the prime duties of a pro scout is to watch film of other teams to look for tendencies and exploitable things. Luke was always phenomenal at that.
