  1. A principle that can also be applied to marriage
  2. Yeah, it's been that way you pretty much since they moved Round 1 to Thursday. The NFL certainly loves prime time.
  3. Unfortunately for the Colts, that's also how he makes decisions
  4. I'm with John I'm this. Ask me again in about 3 or 4 years
  5. There's the Duce Staley connection of course
  6. My take on Levis (Richardson too) was based on the fact that I don't value physical traits higher than intangibles. I know a lot of people do these days ("You can't coach those things" tends to be a popular line) but I don't buy the notion that you can just easily take a guy who's a physical specimen and train him to be a quarterback. Plenty of prior attempts to do that have failed. Give me the guy who already has the quarterbacking skills over the guy you hope can learn them ten times out of ten.
  7. If history is any indicator... Look for similar conversations next draft
  8. Watching Young's post draft interview on NFL Network last night, Lady Cowboy Fan mentioned that she liked hearing him talk about how hard he was going to work as opposed to him proclaiming how great he is. I know it's not the way of the world these days, but old people like me still appreciate a little humility sometimes
  9. Gotcha. I didn't look that hard at the numbers. You're correct...sort of. I wasn't really looking that closely
  10. For wherever he does go, this'll be one of those things that years down the road could be the subject of much laughter or much head shaking.
  11. Some folks seem to think that the flipside of hyping up the guy we take is sh-tting all over the guys we don't. It's actually not required at all
  12. So you're saying jokes about Young's name are getting old?
  13. This is one of those times when a comma would be a pretty good idea
  14. Even before things played out the way they did, Kaye was of the opinion that the team taking a tight end with their second round pick wasn't likely. It's a deep class though so they could still get a good guy later.
  15. Truthfully, I don't care whether he's a saint or a son of a b-tch as long as he stays out of the way and lets the football people do their jobs.
