    I don't blame any player for seeking what's best for themselves. It's true though that sometimes they fail to see how playing a role can be more beneficial long term than just going after the highest payday right now.

    Hubbard was definitely better today. Pretty tough to argue otherwise.

    I've said for weeks that I didn't believe Hubbard was fully healthy. Now it's Dowdle. They'd be a great double trouble type stable but I fear Dowdle might wanna go somewhere where he's the feature back.

    I'm not a Bryce fan, but I've seen enough to know it isn't just Bryce. Our MO under Canales has been to open the season looking like refried dog sh-t but to get better as the season goes along. That points to poor offseason prep.

    Berman would probably go with Dave "Panama" Canales.

    McVay is one of the better offensive play designers and strategists in the NFL today.

    Not necessarily replacing, but someone who can be a better influence. Their position is negotiable. Could be a consultant, a coordinator, an assistant head coach, whatever. Also worth remembering Caldwell and Capers are both old enough to retire and Canales may well be here for a while.

    That's mot just Bryce. Canales isn't good at offseason prep. It's one of the reasons I think he needs better mentoring.

    I'm not forgetting. None of this is based on my opinion of Bryce or what I'd do if it were up to me. It's about what I expect the Panthers to do.

    We're not talking about what I want, but what I expect the team to do. Outside of not keeping Dalton, I don't know that is expect much.
