  1. He's probably still a decent enough player that someone will. That doesn't guarantee anything, though. Plenty of players have tried that route and wound up being part of early playoff exits.
  2. Mentioned elsewhere, it's also best to at least give some consideration to how the players feel, and all indications so far are they support Bryce. And honestly, if we make it to the playoffs, you'll have a tough time arguing to dump Bryce before the option year.
  3. Mick didn't bite me, but Anish is genuinely better at doing football play by play. Luke makes it smarter. Jake makes it more fun.
  4. I think Canales might end up being a long term answer. Not convinced with Bryce...
  5. Not saying he is beyond his fifth year, but I firmly believe he gets that fifth year.
  6. Every team in the league operates under those same conditions. But a number of other teams somehow manage to start the season looking way better than we do. Offseason prep and pacing are a big part of coaching. Tom Coughlin used to beat the sh-t out of his teams. They'd start the season looking like world beaters, then by late season they were done. On the flipside, more "vet friendly coaches" would take it easier. They start looking slow and maybe a tad sloppy, but get better as seasons go along. The best coaches though, find a way to start looking crisp up front and keep it going all year. Belichick tended to be good at this. Reid has likewise become a master over the last few years. Bottom Line: Having your team ready to play is a coach's responsibility, and not just on a weekly basis. It's important coming into the season also. Canales...needs work
  7. He is... ...but he asked to be let go from the Vikings so he could try and catch on with a contender. (he's putting in a lot of frequent flyer miles this year)
  8. I don't think any coach should say something like that in public
  9. Anish (already standing) gushes Jake jumps around and celebrates Luke? He raises a fist, but keeps the calm, stone cold "professional assassin" demeanor we often saw him wear when he played This may be the best radio team we've ever had.
  10. Nah. It was an off the cuff joke. For the record, Grier is currently back on the Cowboys practice squad.
  11. I don't think Purdy is all that good.
  12. You won't believe me when I say this, but truthfully, it's not bad
  13. You should watch the version starring David Hasselhoff
  14. I freely confessed I was very disinterested in this game. Now I'm extremely glad I chose to watch it.
  15. I'm trying to figure out why the hell Collinsworth pronounces his name the way he does
  16. I liked Nucua's better. Hardest part about this game for me is being reminded of Frankie Luvu.
  17. That's the one most people remember (quoted twice in this thread)
  18. No argument... For the record, I saw a live performance of Jekyll and Hyde a few years ago that was better than this one.
  19. He was a reasonably reliable receiver last season. He took a while to get back to form this year after the injury.
  20. Jekyll and Hyde, the show. It's a song where the lead actor sings as both characters arguing against each other.
