  1. Kaye made kind of a cryptic comment about him yesterday that made me wonder if something was up on that front.
  2. I had (still have) a load of respect for Wilks. Heck, I liked Rivera too. But with both of them, there came a point where I just said "this isn't working".
  3. Regarding a topic that's been discussed a lot around here lately...
  4. I'm honestly not sure either of the Smiths comes back. Wright I could see...
  5. So basically, there was never any realistic circumstance where Corral was gonna stick around.
  6. That arguably depends on your skill in the hiring area. If you can find the right people to do the nuts and bolts type jobs, then that leadership style might still be effective. That said, Wilks was a big fan of Al Holcomb as a DC, so it would seem he might not be appreciably better in that area than his former boss (the one currently in DC) was.
  7. Not as good as Frank, If we're being honest. Now that said, I never did put the majority of the blame for that disaster on Wilks. Having success under Bidwill and Keim probably would have taken divine intervention.
  8. Littleton back with the Texans again...
  9. And now from the "you couldn't make this stuff up" department...
  10. I definitely get the impression you don't have a clue about how Frank Reich operates
  11. Bidwill is one of those owners that allows me to look at David Tepper and say "Well, it could be worse" There's also the guy that owns this team...
  12. You're in luck then, because our current head coach and GM seem to be working pretty well with each other. The two of them share similar approaches and ideas when it comes to roster building.
  13. Hell, some of the same people claiming the price might be too high were ready to give up more than that for Deshaun Watson I wasn't a big fan of trading all the way up to #1 myself...until I saw what we actually ended up paying. It was nowhere near as bad as I might have expected. And yeah, if Young works out it's pretty much worth it.
  14. I'm definitely not a law scholar, but "Hey judge, would you mind ordering this evidence destroyed?" just somehow sounds...off to me Could one of our resident legal eagles offer some insight?
  15. I seriously doubt we're going into Week 1 with five tight ends.
  16. Yeah, if you can watch that conversation and come away with the idea that Fitterer is the guy pushing for Corral, you probably need your ears checked.
  17. McAdoo technically had way more NFL pedigree than Rhule did. Mind you, that didn't mean he was good.
  18. Not immediately. Immediately after we got Baker Mayfield though, yeah.
  19. The behind the scenes stuff is gonna be way more telling than the pressers. Publicly, every team always gets everybody they were targeting and they're all thrilled. The one aspect I agree with is that it was always obvious Rhule preferred a veteran while Fitterer wanted a draft pick. My guess would be Tepper ruled on that particular discussion, but once it got to draft day and it was time to pick, Rhule pretty clearly got impatient. And of course afterward, he got Mayfield so Corral went to the back of the line.
  20. Definitely not the sense you get watching the tape from last year (posted earlier). The guy who lobbied hardest for him pre-draft was Ben McAdoo, but on the day of the draft itself Matt Rhule is the one doing the lobbying. Mind you, that's prior to their getting Mayfield, at which point Rhule started treating Corral like a college freshman.
