  1. That's a nightmare scenario to me, especially if it involves Tepper making the decisions,
  2. Wouldn't go that far There are definitely some positives on the team and some things to build around. It is, however, valid to say they are in the first year of a rebuild.
  3. That is a pet peeve I have with Frank. Also have some questions about the depth chart / personnel decisions given the last two games. Still think it's too soon to wrote him off, though,
  4. Everybody else did too, and largely because they knew it wasn't a real option.
  5. It being his choice is part of the question, but even if it is a lot of great drafters have whiffed on QB picks before. Hell, Bobby Beathard was a legend but he's also known as the guy who traded up to take Ryan Leaf.
  6. No, not solely on McCown. Just as an example, one of the rumors re: Stroud is that the S2 test eliminated him in Tepper's eyes.
  7. Nobody was ever getting Jackson away from the Ravens. The non-exclusive tag was only put there to let other teams negotiate parameters that the Ravens would have just matched.
  8. I wouldn't go that far on either the franchise or Young. It's one thing to say Stroud might be better, another thing entirely to say Young is bad. Young still has plenty of strengths that can be built on.
  9. Don't think I've ever said any different about Tepper. I did say he was at least capable of learning, but Reich's comments about his level of involvement have me concerned again.
  10. I've come to accept that Moton at LT is just never gonna happen. Fir the scheme we're running though, it'd make some sense. What I think (hope) ultimately happens is he goes to left guard and we got a more WCO type tackle next year.
  11. I think you ultimately do but It's a pretty tough discussion to have right now
  12. I don't doubt that that's the decision they ultimately agreed upon because that's who we drafted. My question is how it got to that point.
  13. The most obvious solution would be moving the left tackle to left guard, but then you've arguably got an even bigger problem.
  14. I know he talked to Polian regarding Reich. Polian is a big Frank Reich fan. How he feels about Fitterer or anyone else, no one can say. Colbert would make a more natural choice. They're reported to be friends, but Colbert at least officially still has a position with the Steelers.
  15. Nah...Voice to text makes it easy. Mind you, it also makes it easy to make glaring mistakes that I don't see you until the editing window is closed
  16. I hear Nicole Tepper tied to Young a lot but I don't know that it's valid. She had a pretty good connection with CJ Stroud as well, to the point that he referred to her as Mama Tepp. On the whole though, it's hard to sort through the rumors
  17. I think a couple of folks have already responded as far as where the rumors came from. But again, this is an area where we don't fully know what's going on. That's why I posted a couple of different possibilities
  18. I'd be in favor of this but we've got a glaring problem at left guard.
  19. No you didn't. Everyone knew what you were doing there, same as your usual MO. You're a troll.
  20. Would this be "intelligent discussion" in your mind?
  21. I don't dismiss opinions if they're well thought out. A lot of the people who would have been able to give well thought out opinions have left because the "everything sucks" people are running rampant and torpedo any intelligent discussion right off the bat.
  22. The decision on Burns is another one where I still have questions. First off, if the offers were underwhelming, then what difference does it make? Second, it's possible that better offers will come this offseason. Third, dynamics are still a question. Is Tepper influencing this decision as well? Those are the kinds of things I would want to know before saying anything for sure.
  23. Here are the potential dynamics of the draft decision and what they mean: Tepper made or influenced the decision: Then what's the point of firing anybody if they were just doing what the owner wanted? Fitterer made or influenced the decision: This is the one condition where it would make sense to fire Fitterer. The decision was made collaboratively: Again, who do you fire when everybody came to the decision together? Everyone? And then let David Tepper rebuild the team from scratch? Oh hell, no. Which of these is reality? No idea, but again that's why I would want to see somebody brought in to look over all of it.
