  1. Slightly underinflated footballs are easier to grip, throw, catch and hold onto; all of which means better ball security which is a significant advantage in a football game.
  2. Balls inflated in a sauna or other hot room? That has to be absolute stupidest theory I've read in a while.
  3. I will laugh my ass off if the Pats try to say some lower level equipment handler acted on his own. You'd pretty much have to be an absolute moron to buy that notion.
  4. Torrey might not want to be in the locker room with that other Smith' guy anymore.
  5. From what ive seen, there's a lot of things that aren't this guy's "strong suit".
  6. Saw that Amazing how those weather conditions only affected one team's footballs, eh? (conditions must vary a lot from one side of the field to the other)
  7. My biggest question... Why bother against the Colts? I know we were the team with the fewest wins in the playoffs, but I'd argue the Colts might have been the team with the least talent. Outside of Andrew Luck and T Y Hilton, who on the Colts scares anybody? You think opposing coaches lose sleep worrying about how to contain Coby Fleener? They beat a Broncos team where John Fox had one foot out the door. Panther fans know better than most how a team led by a half-hearted John Fox performs.
  8. It was actually a 'change of hands' that started it. Deflated ball investigation began after Colts interception Why wouldn't the refs notice? Possibly because refs don't handle a a football like a player does, I suppose.
  9. Well, the NFL examined a dozen balls and found eleven of them underinflated by the exact same amount. Unlikely that happens by accident, I'd say.
  10. I found a football reporter you might like. Dianna Marie Russini And no lie, her Twitter feed actually has some good info.
  11. Valid. I figured you could tell he wasn't a moose because he didn't have a squirrel with him.
  12. You can't tell if the elk is a dumbass just from that picture
  13. Eh, he'll be in the next one longer. At least they got him right. When they did the fire breath scene every geek in the theater exploded.
  14. Godzilla! At what point did this guy think to himself, "Yeah, this is a great idea"
  15. The Japanese really have some off the wall tastes in entertainment
  16. I see someone's been perusing "perfectly timed photos" online
  17. Valid, but in the presser both Gettleman and Rivera talked a lot about speed.
  18. Everybody loves speed and elusiveness, but a couple of the underrated skills I love to see in a return man are patience, field vision and solid understanding of blocking schemes. This kid shows all of those. In the one clip, you can see him actually directing a blocker. Love to see that.
