You want another good reason to support this? Frank Garcia hates the idea. Given Frank's track record, I'd call that a good sign.
-
Disagree. Sometimes, teammates can arguably have a bigger influence on players than coaches do. Turner talked about how he thought he was 'nasty' till Norwell showed him a whole other level. For that matter, how many stories have you seen of bullying victims going apes--t on people when they've finally had enough? As mentioned, I'm not his biggest fan, but I acknowledge the possibilities are worth what minimal risk we're taking.

Not sure how many people remember, but Martin is actually the second player that was part of the Dolphins bullying scandal to play for the Panthers. The first was Andrew McDonald. He made it to our practice squad last year but then was signed away by the Seahawks early in the season. (I think they cut him later because I remember some folks here hoping we'd bring him back)

Martin before... Martin after hanging out with Norwell and Turner...
-
Nah. I just felt the urge to respond anyway

Welcome to The Huddle.

I think Philly's take on how Newton will react is much better informed.
-
I don't see it as a bad signing, but I think you know that.
-
incognito has more douche in him than a Summer's Eve manufacturing plant.
-
Lower the age a little.
-
Valid point. And then after that Andrew Norwell can teach him how to eat nails and hate everybody wearing a different uniform.
-
Can't speak for him, but I don't think Martin's that good. With that said though, this is legitimately a signing with zero risk, so why not? If he stinks, no big deal. If he's actually worth something, cool.
-
As opposed to this face...
-
Someone did. And Incognito was signed by the Bills several weeks ago.
-
Look who started the other thread
-
I'm not a big fan, but I'd see it as an "aw hell, why not" signing. Maybe he can be coached up. If not, no major consequences.
-
Incognito was signed by the Bills.

There's the Jets former first rounder, Kyle Wilson (if you believe he's fixable).
-
I don't want them to lose their first rounder. I want them to keep it and use it on Randy Gregory because I don't believe he'll be that good. Let em lose their second and third.
-
Closing the comments tells me he was probably just pulling stuff out of his ass and he knows he got called on it.
-
Word was that they'd like to use that pick on Randy Gregory. If they lose it, ouch.
-
I can name several teams that are interested in Jennings. Can you name someone with an interest in Nicks?
-
I'd have to look it up to be sure, but I think technically Fox has more experience in roster building than their GM does.
-
Then why is he unemployed? (heck, I can't recall even seeing that anybody was interested in him)
-
Don't bother beginning. He's one of the 'whine about everything' crowd. When a guy starts off with a goofy line like "there's more to the draft than just drafting players", it's a pretty solid clue that there's nothing to be gained by trying to explain anything for him.
