  1. That's the tweet I originally saw. It does exist For whatever reason, after I left that page I couldn't find it again.
  2. After seeing that offer that the Seahawks turned down from the Bears? Hell no!
  3. I give up. I have no idea what I saw. Someone else find it
  4. Okay, I swear I saw a tweet on us signing somebody else but now I can't find it Guess it's that kind of day.
  5. Heck, now it's being reported we've also signed another defensive back named Darius Clark. Can't find much on him. Don't know if he's a corner or a safety.
  6. Well to be fair, I don't think we have a whole lot of cap space left. Gantt says this isn't necessarily the only corner we're going to be signing though.
  7. I've heard the name before. He's been around (seen a lot of places)
  8. Recently released by the Jaguars (per Schefter) Melvin opted out of the 2020 season due to virus concerns.
  9. Yeah that'd be a "hell no / WTF are you thinking / you're an absolute moron" moment. No way in hell I want to see anything like that happen.
  10. Neither do you, but I can say it's highly unlikely. We'll all see how it plays out.
  11. Yep. Lots of high-profile cases happen that way. Everybody's afraid until one person steps forward, then that emboldens someone else, then another, then another, etc. Guilty or not, seeing it play out this way doesn't look good.
  12. Women taking a long time to report incidents - or even not reporting them at all - is unfortunately very common. Again, that doesn't necessarily offer anything definitive about this case, but it is worth remembering.
  13. I have no idea whether he's guilty or not. The only things I feel like I can say for certain right now are that he's in a bad spot and it's highly unlikely anybody's going to trade for him.
  14. The only people who know are the people directly involved, i.e. Watson and his accusers. None of us know jack, and probably never will. We'll see the outcome of the case, but unless somebody flat out admits something, there will always be questions.
  15. As I recall, that was one accuser. This is six (so far). Guilty or not guilty, this is gonna be complicated.
  16. Again, not about that. The discussion was about a single question: Does forced oral sex qualify as sexual assault? The answer to that is yes. Whether or not Watson is guilty of it is a whole separate discussion.
  17. Could Watson be totally exonerated? Absolutely. Is that likely to happen before Draft Day? Seriously doubt it.
  18. Three lawsuits filed, three more pending... Does that really sound like something that's likely to get worked out in a matter of a few weeks? Again, something crazy could happen but unless it does, this is probably gonna be going on for a long time.
  19. Court judges do just that, and they kinda have to. Whether it's true or not isn't the point though. This was in response to someone saying that none of the allegations qualify as assault. Forced oral sex would definitely be considered assault.
  20. Barring something totally crazy happening though, is there actually any realistic possibility of Watson being traded to the Panthers (or anywhere else) until this is all played out? I just can't see it.
  21. While I grant that McNair is an idiot, the Texans being behind this really just isn't very credible. I've also seen a couple of people suggest that Tepper did it to drive his trade price down. That's just lunacy. Setting aside the conspiracy theories though, this is an extremely sad and difficult story. Is the lawyer at the center of this a douchebag? Probably. It's more about the women than him though. If they're credible, this is pretty bad for Watson. And if more come forward, it only gets worse. Like I said before, this isn't really about football anymore. It's about the real lives of Watson and the women involved.
  22. I'm giving Phil the benefit of a doubt here, guessing he hadn't seen that particular allegation yet.
