  1. Actually, you're the only one who takes the Appaloosa bullsh-t seriously. Everybody else laughs at it. Running a hedge fund and running a football team have very little in common. This is a big reason why I don't give a rat's ass about hedge funds. Those of us who actually do know football understand that we're most closely following the Seahawks model, although that structure isn't actually anything new or original to them. They're just one of the more recent teams using it
  2. Parsons is the kind of player Spielman likes.
  3. Nope. New playing surface coming to Bank of America Stadium It's still on the front page.
  4. Albert Breer referred to the Lions as the "team most motivated to move down".
  5. Here's a potential wild card. Breer mentioned that if Chris Spielman has a significant influence on who the Lions take, he could see them drafting Micah Parsons.
  6. Merino was a total a--hole on the field. There was a story of a player who grew up idolizing him, then got drafted to the NFL and got to play against him. After seeing how Marino acted in the game, that guy didn't admire him anymore.
  7. I was watching when the Jets took Kyle Brady over Warren Sapp. That's one thing I miss about the draft being in New York, getting to watch Jet fans be disappointed.
  8. George was absolutely a great athlete. It's a big reason why he got so many chances. But yeah, he was also a colossal prick.
  9. If the Chargers trade up, I think there's a lot better chance of them taking Sewell than Horn.
  10. Gotta say, "digestible" is not a word I've seen used to describe draft prospects before. Of course, if he were a draft analyst...
  11. The team decided on zero. Heck, his existing contract ended up having the final year lopped off.
  12. Brandt was an actor on a soap opera my ex-wife used to watch. I scratched my head when I saw he was on NFL Network
  13. If Penei Sewell is there and that helps keep the Lions or someone else from taking him, I'm all for it.
  14. There are a lot of great choices. It could be recency bias or team bias, but gun to my head I probably would choose Newton. He really was a physical freak. Vick wasn't the world's greatest quarterback but damn was he an insane athlete.
  15. I'm not up for drafting a quarterback but I can live with it if we do. I'd prefer an offensive lineman, but corner and D-Line are also legitimate needs. Couldn't really complain about those even if they're not my preference. Going back to a Marty special and drafting a linebacker or runningback would make me wanna barf.
  16. Fantastic quarterback, yeah. Physical specimen? Not so much.
  17. Draft decisions? I sure as hell wouldn't pick Belichick. His drafting record is horrible. As far as the guys currently making our draft decisions, Fitterer is an unknown.
  18. Bill Belichick's draft evaluations are not exactly something to brag about. It's almost universally acknowledged that their free agent blitz this year has a lot to do with the fact that their past five drafts have been sh-t.
