  1. I think there may be some requirement that he has to do things to live up to a screen name.
  2. Sorry, no. And FYI, "the other guy" is a bot.
  3. I remember when Fozzy Whitaker was our primary backup. Guess you could say we've gone from Waka Waka to Hubba Bubba.
  4. You shouldn't. Jones was a great special teamer but a terrible safety.
  5. Now the team just has to do this ten more times
  6. Sometimes when a team announces they're going to cut somebody, they're fishing for a trade. Of course, if teams know you're just going to release them anyway, there's not necessarily as much incentive.
  7. To be fair, he's also an NFL sized monster himself.
  8. I think he's the second draft pick to sign across the league. Somebody else signed the first one yesterday but I forget who.
  9. You can throw in that the Saints fans really wanted him as well. First off because he's good but also because they loved the idea of having Joe Horn's son. So there's that too...
  10. Happy to help. I was thinking the same thing when I saw it, though I can't claim to have watched enough of the Dolphins to say anything authoritative about him.
  11. At least our scouts don't have to deal with the bullsh-t the ones in Philadelphia and Washington do where they work their asses off all year just to watch the owner come in and make the pick himself. Mentioned it in another thread, but last year the Eagles scouts had a player teed up for their second round pick when Howie Roseman (likely at the request of Jeffrey Lurie) went off script and took Jalen Hurts instead. The player that was next up on the scouts draft board? Jeremy Chinn.
  12. Good post. I'd add that Brady likes to scheme pass route combinations that create natural picks (a tendency he likely picked up from Sean Payton).
  13. We've got answers. He needs a break and he wants to spend time with his family.
  14. We kept an OC in place for years because Jerry Richardson loved the name "Shula". From what I've heard though (which, granted, isn't much) Beathard was good at his job.
  15. Pretty much. I can see where people might get the idea that Tepper would dictate stuff, but that's turned out to be a false narrative. And again, that's a good thing.
  16. Our previous head coach as well...
  17. I've begun to question whether we ever really "pursued Watson heavily". I don't doubt that Tepper wanted him, and that was the basis for a lot of the speculation we saw ("Tepper will pay any price" and such) but we've learned since from Matt Rhule that Tepper doesn't interfere in the football side of things, something I and others were very happy to hear. There have been plenty of details available about the search that led up to Darnold. In those stories, the only mention of Watson has been that they were interested but knew that the Texans weren't trading him. At this point, I think it's very possible that everybody got fired up over something that wasn't really happening.
