I know we got Mingo because of the impression he made in his visit, and he does technically fit in a wCO as a possession type. But Josh Downs and Tank Dell would both have been pure WCO burners, especially Dell.

Taking credit for someone else's work now... Wow
-
What Fix posted in the Scheme thread is pretty depressing.

There's no greater cluelessness / egotism than blaming and punishing people for mistakes you made as a leader, then thinking it'll be different with someone else you put in the same situation. Doesn't surprise me, though. Tepper seems like he's as horrible as he is dimwitted.

Good luck with that

Ugh The person who causes the most problems is the one person who's also untouchable. Corporate nightmare...

That's the second time I've done that I really gotta pay closer attention to my edits.

Wasn't a fan of Richardson because he's not as accurate a passer as Stroud. The nickname "ball placement machine" is a true one. He'd have been ideal. Turns out Richardson isn't very durable either but nobody really saw that coming.

There are valid criticisms to be had with Frank, but you demonstrated with your ridiculously weak attempt at explaining what a Reich offense was that you had no clue what they were. Largely the same deal with Fitterer. What's even funnier though is that I put out a pretty clear indictment of where the coaching issues were weeks ago and have even expanded on it since. But instead of talking about that you're trying to use it to bash the front office. You don't get it. I wouldn't bet that you're going to.

colts former star shaq Lennard released subject to waivers...

Top of the order. If we want somebody, we'll get 'em. -
I preferred Stroud.

Actually, the "mental gymnastics" is when you try to blame front office people for coaching mistakes. The OL was already built, and Reich had no issue with it (nor should he have). Deciding to use them against their skill set was a baffling decision, but that's not the fault of anyone in the front office. I get that you want an excuse to fire everybody because that's your thing (and it might actually happen) but blaming scheme problems on personnel people is a pretty good sign of having no idea what you're talking about.
-
Bryce is an obvious West Coast quarterback. You're not gonna put him in a Coryell. His OL are not WCO type linemen though (they're big, road grader types). Neither are his receivers suited to this attack (need speedy "run after catch type guys mostly some other at least one deep throat wouldn't be a bad idea.

Which makes no sense when you come in saying your plan is to tailor the schemes to the players
-
Wasn't planning on it...no need to
-
Keep in mind a lot of those guys will never make it to free agency. We drool over free agent classes on an annual basis only to watch a pretty good number of them get re-signed.
-
With Matt Rhule lin charge? Yeah, I wouldn't bet on that.
-
Maybe on an occasional pick or two, but building a complete franchise? No. Some of these guys have been in scouting (starting frequently as interns) for ten to twenty years, and even then it's not easy. I'm sure there are guys do some occasional carpentry and/or home maintenance that think they could build a house just as well as any master builder, but if I'm having a house built, I'm sure as hell not hiring those guys to build it.

Daaaaaammmmnnn
-
They'd have to. Pretty sure Gibbs himself is dead.
-
Which from what we're hearing, is not a new thing for Reich. It really doesn't make sense.
-
I'll probably check out the broadcast at some point. In game, I spent too much time trying to keep myself from swinging my cane at obnoxious Cowboy fans.
-
Can't really lay this particular issue at the GM's feet, or anybody in personnel admin honestly. The front office built a very good offensive line last season. Those same personnel being used improperly is on the coaching staff.
-
Let's just say I put a lot more stock in Young's ability to handle a power run scheme than I do our offensive lines ability to do zone blocking. But hell, even if you stuck with what we have now, what prevents you from running someplace out of a "jumbo' package with an extra tackle or something like that? If we've tried anything of that sort this season, I missed it.

I get the impression I'm not gonna need to
