  1. To quote Ron Simmons, "Damn". I haven't followed his story much outside of hearing he's kind of a malcontent so I don't really know how it got to this.
  2. So it turns out you didn't even have to give up a 7th round pick, just swap spots.
  3. ...due to the salary cap number not yet being settled (per Rapoport) For now, the deadline is still 4pm tomorrow. Moving it back would be good for the Panthers in that it'd give them additional time to negotiate with Taylor Moton. Rapoport has stated that both sides are open to a long-term deal. It's just a matter of getting something done. Free agency starts in nine days (3/17).
  4. Valid point... Zero chance of Wilson to Dallas now.
  5. Didn't say what round. No way it's round one.
  6. Imagine if he had. Marty Hurney working for Jerry Jones is a reality show I'd watch regularly.
  7. There's plenty of doubt about Wilson being traded (though Breer did just recently put it at 60-40 against).
  8. Yikes! I'm not sure I'd have paid Prescott 40 million a year before the injury.
  9. The interesting part will be the details.
  10. Brady's offense? It's absolutely built for a pocket passer type. We're running a WCO type scheme with similar route concepts to what they used in New Orleans with Brees. You don't need a run threat QB for that.
  11. On the flipside... “The question I get a lot is, ‘Hey, would you be willing to draft a quarterback, would you be willing to draft a receiver, despite how strong your receivers are or where you are with Matt Ryan?'” Fontenot said. “And yes. Yes, yes, yes. We’re definitely going to acquire at both of those positions, and we’re going to work hard to bring in competition. But I hold both those guys in high regard.”
  12. PFT added that head coach Nick Sirianni understands that "what the owner wants, the owner gets". If true, doesn't really seem like a smart thing for the team to let something like this get out.
  13. That particular Twitter is about 99 % bullsh-t. If I don't see it confirmed somewhere else by someone more reliable, I don't buy it.
  14. We're likely now to the point where they're not likely to get any sort of return on Bridgewater regardless because everybody expects them to eventually just cut him.
  15. Turns out the 49ers might not be all that interested. Joe Person did an interview with a San Francisco radio station where he spoke about the Niners inquiry being "preliminary" and "due diligence". Quotes about that and more... "I do think, at this point, you could call it 'preliminary,' 'due diligence,' anything along those lines," Person said on the Tolbert, Krueger & Brooks show. "By the way, there are other teams that have called them. It just happens that the Niners are the only ones that have been identified." Despite the financial obstacles, Person reiterated that he believes San Francisco envisions Bridgewater as a backup and not a replacement for Garoppolo. "Teddy Bridgewater was an excellent backup quarterback in New Orleans," he added. "That's what kind of got him this contract here in Charlotte to see if he could be the guy. It didn't work out all that well last year, and so I think the Panthers, it feels like this bridge is burned here. "... You guy know how this works; if teams all know that you're getting ready to cut a guy, then the Niners, or anybody else, might just sit tight and not bother flipping a couple of ... I think [the Panthers] would be hopeful to get like a mid-round pick or two. ... And again, it might be less than that if the world knows you're getting ready to cut him." Link
  16. He's not trolling. He genuinely believes he knows something everyone else doesn't. That's why he spams it into every thread he can. There's more that could be said but I'll leave it at that for now.
  17. That's already been done earlier in the thread (specifically, Darin Gantt confirming the Stafford trade offer). And to be clear, denying what's been shown to you plainly isn't funny, interesting or effective. It shows you've got nothing to offer.
  18. I think what we knew (specifically that he was underperforming) is enough, no hidden details necessary. And yeah, I guess you could say we "won" this trade but the prize for winning was comparable to one of those cheap plastic trophies you can buy at a novelty store.
  19. Yeah...It was halfway amusing before. Now you've crossed over to just plain stupid.
  20. I'm not sure just how "voluntary" it really was. I know by the time the process was winding down, he was reported to be walking around in a super foul mood saying things like "I don't have to sell this team".
